It's Fox's new answer to ESPN.  It's a dedicated NATIONAL network....not regional.

THAT, my friends is GREAT scheduling.  Just tremendous.  Hat's off to all involved.   :lynchmob:

I agree that there will typically be a KstateHD game, because Bill's scheduling philosophy (which I agree with completely)....but was hoping that there was a chance that it would get picked up by Fox regional.

The Friday game is nice and all, but I'd rather have been playing a home conference game on a rowdy Thursday night.

FoxSports1 is currently the Speed Channel.  They are expanding and pushing it to be a competitor with ESPN.  Thus, I would hope they are pushing the expansion of FS1's footprint as well when the switchover occurs.

As to the thoughts of UMass being Division II, not sure when or if they were ever Division II.  Back when we played them in the past, they were either Div-IAA/FCS level.  I think we played them last in 2003.

I'm sure Snyder wouldn't mind playing a Division II team, but even he couldn't justify that one.

FS1 will launch in 90 million homes, which will be the biggest launch in cable history.

BSFS is going to be plenty rowdy on the Friday night heading into Labor Day weekend against the defending back to back natty champ bisons from NDST in front of a national audience.

I don't believe it has much to do with sched philosophy. More to do with 3rd tier rights.

If a game is not played on ABC's family of networks, did it really exist?

No. 59. Kansas Jayhawks

Kansas was one of the worst teams in the nation in 2012. It does not look like it is going to get better very quickly.

Still, despite only winning one game last season, Kansas still averaged 41,329 fans at its football games.

That number was down two percent from the previous season, but still not as far down as some might think.

No question that this will always be a basketball school

Gill had more fans than Chuck!!!  :surprised:
I'm  :dunno: does Dlew & SWC still think I'm wrong???

i think iowa state is going to be all sorts of bad next year.  qbs are still a huge issue and they lose klein and knott, the only two players worth a damn on the whole team last season.

but they'll beat WVU or some one late in the game and Rhodes will yell "TONIGHT WAS SPECIAL, BOYS.  AND WE'RE GOING TO KEEP BEING SPECIAL UNTIL KINGDOM COME!  LET'S CONTINUE TO BE SPECIAL TOGETHER AND SEE WHER THIS TAKES US!" (players spray water bottles everywhere).  The video will go viral, and Rhodes will SLTH his way into a 4-8 season and a nice contract extension through 2020.
