So I was thinking, rather than purchase a permanent video board for TFS, K-State should invest in a custom mobile video board.

Just pour a concrete pad outside the outfield fence and roll one of these bad boys up and plug it in. Then when it's not needed for baseball, design it in such a way that it get moved inside Ahearn for Volleyball, or rolled over to the new Tennis Center as needed. You could then park the bad boy in Cat Town or some strategic place at the stadium on Football game days. As technology improves you just have to change out the LED board modules, or back room hardware for one system. If you have the parking locations for each venue already set up, you can just make it plug and play across a network to a centralized control room. I believe WSC will have a new video center in it. You can buy the software from Daktronics that will allow it to serve as a scoring system for track meets, tennis etc. etc.

That's a really great idea, dax.

Seems K-State0 though. We have tons of money, we should act like it.

Dude, a nice one of these is well into the 7 figures.

All the more reason to do it like Dax said. The tucks will love it.

How are these in wind?

That's why we should get one for each stadium. :kstategrad:

You could scoot it into the quad and have catapaloozas and stuff

Sounds like a great idea imo.

Think of the watch party possibilities for roadgames

I can't tell you how many times I wanted to see a replay at tonight's game. So whatever it takes to make that a reality, I'm for it.
