ssd costs more
-
get both, ssd for OS and programs, HDD for bulk storage
-
SSD is the only way to go... faster boot, quieter, longer hard drive life... spend the extra money and go that route...
-

Thus the "Spend the money"
There is no option for both internally puniraptor.
-
SSDs aren't that much, jesus christ. Get 256GB Samsung 840 Pro.

It's not for me, it's for a gift, a MacBook Pro in fact.
I am leaning towards the SSD.

what's more important to the receiver: speed and performance or total storage volume?

What's more important to me, the person that will have to pay for it if it breaks (or has to buy the extra coverage) is that it's durable. Thus the SSD is the way I am leaning.
I have no experience with internal SSD's and haven't bothered to look up what people think, so that's one of the reason why I am asking you youngsters.
-
at this point they are more durable and reliable than hdds. and faster.
good job, team
-
everyone should get hard, imo.
