Title: Summer Softball
Post by: SdK on May 14, 2013, 06:39:11 PM
It appears I missed the deadline to join a team for this summer. I would like to be involved in some sort of team athletic competition this summer. I will be in Manhattan until August, so if anyone needs a player or know of a way I can get involved, I'd appreciate it! :D

1. Buy a brand new fancy bat
2. Wear some actual baseball pants
3. Hang out at the softball fields and be sure to let everyone know you have a fancy bat, the baseball pants will let everyone know you are serious
4. Wait for teams needing a last minute sub to ask you to play
5. Go 5-5 with 2 hr's and the team will ask you to play next week.

My team is down 2 guys right now due to some stupid graduation related events.  Can you play in one or both games of a doubleheader Friday night?  Oh it's in Topeka by the way so for your travel expenses we would reimburse you with some Busch Light or some other terrible beer.

Hey, does anyone remember how I complained about my muscles being super duper sore from softball last summer.  Well, it turned out that they were all messed up because I had thyroiditis. I couldn't do any strenuous physical activity for a couple months.  It SUCKED super bad.  Watch out for that if you play.

Expensive softball bats really do make all the difference our team had a shitty one and I never dropped any b.o.b s (bombs over the berg)
then we borrowed a teams bat  I just stood there and watched the ball

Not that I know of.  But if you get sore, schedule a visit to the endocrinologist.

Hey guyz, wanna hear an awesome softball story?!? OKAY!

ben ji's GF came out to watch him play a couple of weeks ago and he had THE GAME OF HIS LIFE, ended up going 10-10 and hitting for the cycle.

Before my last at bat of the game I asked her what she wanted me to hit, of course she says a homerun because chicks dig the long ball. I explained that I was a slap hitter and have NEVER hit the ball over the fence, perhaps she could pick something else?

Welp, she decides she wants me to go opposite field to the left fielder(I bat lefty). Ole ben ji couldnt let her down so the first pitch he CRUSHES it over the left fielders head to the warning track then RACES around the basepaths to notch an inside the park HR.  :D

LSOC is rolling blue dots with a DeMarini Off The Chain this season.  Don't park your car in that lot, bruh, unless you want a broken windshield.  :bombsquad:

How did you hit for the cycle if you didn't hit any home runs?  Inside the park?
