Title: Cheese
Post by: bones129 on May 04, 2013, 12:32:20 AM
It seems to me that if we have a honey thread (which is good) we can also have a cheese thread.

I am a dedicated cheese fan. I love cheese on burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, etc. I also like to snack on Kraft Singles, so much so that I will peel off 2 or 3 singles from a Kraft stack and eat them. Anyone else out there a serious cheese slice fan?

You know who loves cheese? Fish. But then they die when you feed a bunch to them. So I learned in my childhood.

Gouda is great.  I usually keep a little bitty wheel in my fridge and slice off a little sliver for a late evening snack.

This is something I can get behind! :excited: I love cheese! St. Marcelin is the absolute bee's knees. We don't eat enough good cheese as an appetizer or after meal treat here in the US.

when i was a young kid (10 yrs old), i used to take two kraft american cheese slices, slap them on a paper plate, and then put them in the microwave for 50 seconds on high.

i named it "melted cheese."

One of my least favorite places on earth is the corner of Trader Joe's where people stand and ponder their artisanal cheese purchase. Cheese is just ok for the price you pay. I enjoy goat cheese.

Cabot used to make a very good chipolte cheddar that was fantastic in all things.  Can't find it for the last three months though

Also, huge fan of brie.

First thought when I saw the thread was manchego. Glad others know how great it is.

Velveeta has its uses but is weird. Also really enjoy smoked Gouda.

No love for some edam? Feta is another good one not mentioned yet.

I don't think I've had Limburger but I could probably get behind it.
