Again

Oh, look: there's Texas...
And we get them early, hopefully they are undefeated and top 10 :crossfingers:
-
Silly me... I was taking that as a boost to their resume, where in reality it is a boost to ours. :ksu:
-
Oh, look: there's Texas...
you realize they ended the year ranked #18 right?

I guess I didn't. :embarrassed:

4. Louisville Cardinals
Previous rank: 8
"Is there a hotter athletics department in the country than Louisville right now? "
Should be in the Big 12. :shakesfist:

one of the few b12 teams to win their bowl game #thankyoutexas

Should be in the Big 12. :shakesfist:
They would have not been 6-6 at best last year had we taken them instead of West Virginia.

Texas being the highest ranked Big 12 team is a joke and so is OSU at #1. Bama would destroy them.
-
Ohio State has the easiest football schedule in the history of the sport and could easily go undefeated again. But cats! :ksu:

This is a fact. They beat one team that finished the season ranked in the coaches poll, and that would be NU who lost their conference championship game by almost 40 points.

Just looked up Ohio State's schedule and I can confirm this, their schedule next year is absolute garbage. Outside of Wisconsin and @Michigan they play nobody. If they aren't 13-0 heading into the title game they are failures.

Really looking forward to watching OSU losing to (insert SEC champion) by 40 points.

It's kind of bullshit that the top team with the easiest schedule is ranked number 1 to start the season, yeah? I mean, being ranked 1 in the polls pre-season goes a long way in ensuring that you're at the front of the "teams with 1 loss" line down the road.
So basically, tOSU has the easiest schedule, and will in all likelihood, be number 1 if they happen to drop a game against some joke Big 10 team.
Also, it rocks being given a nice deal of pre-season credit during a rebuilding year. Sustaining success this year (8+ wins) would mean a ton for the strength of our program.

I'm OK, at least for now, with 20th. Gives us a chance to stealth our way up the rankings, week by week. :)

Man, I'd do cartwheels with Top 20. Even #20.

They were 12-0 last year (also against a trash schedule, but still), returned most of their team and have one of the best head coaches in college football, so I don't particularly have a problem with Ohio State being a preseason #1. If they lose at all they should have no business finishing the regular season in the top five though.

Here's k states spring wrap insider dealy from that article. Its probably already been posted but meh
20. Kansas State Wildcats
Top commit: C Dalton Risner. He's tough and rugged, just like LHC Bill Snyder likes 'em. For some reason, Risner has not received the attention he deserves in this class, but he also is one of the few true centers.
Top target: OLB Jimmie Swain. The Wildcats are riding high in Kansas City after winning the Big 12 championship and Swain would be a big recruiting victory over rivals Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, who are all chasing the 6-3, 218-pound linebacker hard.
Spring storyline: Never deviate from the plan. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Same process, same results, very little flash. The juco ranks will continue to be a high priority, but the reality is that recruiting for KSU in the fall will be more difficult if the Wildcats aren't as successful on the field.
Bold prediction: Is there anything bold about these guys? Possibly the best coach in America will once again surprise on the field and sign fewer juco players than high school players in the 2014. I guess that is somewhat bold.

Getting that respect finally. '04 was ranked preseason #13 though :surprised: <----- Not making comparos. There is no comparison between the '13 & '04 O-Line's

The '04 problem was that we couldn't keep our 4/5 star recruits that committed early. Synder says that why we had bad seasons in '04
and '05. He changed his recruiting philosophy because of this issue.
