Good for him and bad for the hater club.

He was always going to get drafted. Did anyone ever really question that?

Actually, the Chiefs probably could have gotten him as a UDFA
Still happy for the guy.
-
Feel sorry for Alex Smith.

Someone else would have drafted him in the 7th.

Plenty believed he wouldn't get drafted. Fullbacks are not a hot item so to get drafted you have to impress someone.
Braden. 1
Haters. 0

His size and measurables at that position are enough to be a late round pick, though.

Two or three fullbacks get drafted each year in the draft at most. Throw in the fact the position is dying in the league.
I knew Braden was one of the best at his position in college football last year, but I wasn't sure he was good enough to get drafted.

Good for him and bad for the hater club.
For a guy who doesn't really know his ass from a hole in the ground about football, you sure talk a lot of crap :blah:
-
I wasn't aware we had dumasses who thought he wasn't a draftable player.

I hope you and your family have a horrible opposite day!

Lol at retards who think drafting a FB is worth it. Dumbasses!

I've already posted it on the Hater Club facebook page but I guess I will put it in here too. No we will not be holding an emergency meeting to discuss the recent news concerning the draft. We will meet at our regularly scheduled time next Thursday. Check the newsletter for the time and location and don't forget about our annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser which is coming up next week as well.
-
Jesus, take it to the white Midwestern thread.
-
i'm not ashamed to say that i hate braden because he sucks. if you suck, i'm going to hate you, and he sucks.

Why would anyone here be upset a KState Wildcat got drafted? Besides being a real dick chugger.

Basket of Robin dick flavors? :dunno:

ThE Only people That Aren't Happy He Got Drafted Are Obvious Racists And crap People.
-
I want every Wildcat in the NFL, always.
-
I don't hate Braden. I hate our fanbase that loves him because he is white.
-
Smart pick, he will for sure make the roster and might get some PT. Great fit too, Chiefs were in need of a true fullback
And hatter, this isn't the slant. Why post that here? Who hates BW? :shakesfist:
-
New to this, why does everyone hate Braden(maybe not everyone)

Overrated by tucks.
-
Was Braden the greatest fullback in ksu history? I never saw him do anything Victor Mann couldn't do, I mostly go off of what guys like Hatter say. As long as Braden is blocking he should do fine, but he's never going to be a FB you can hand it off to.

Weird thread

Fullbacks are not a hot item so if you are any good at all at fullback you will be drafted.

The only fullbacks you hand it off to are John Kuhn and Trent Richardson. Yes, one of them is retired. The position is dead.

This is wrong

They are a commodity.
-
Still think he might've been better utilized at DE. But also, I could be completely wrong here.

Any idea how many FBs were drafted this year? I can't imagine it's more than like 4 or 5. Every team has kickers and punters and I would guess there were a similar number of FBs drafted as Ks and Ps combined.
-
I heard the Chiefs have an affinity for backs with concrete hands....
-
Overheard at Aggieville BWW: "The Chiefs drafted some kstate player, Braden Smith or something? Idk, I'd never heard of him."
-
Nice run you had Braden.
-
What a confusing and Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) trade. Has Andy Reid even ever used a FB
-
Nothing like drafting a fullback in the 6th round when you could sign him as an undrafted free agent. Same ol' Chiefs.

Trading for another fullback is even worse, imo.
-
He's good enough for a 52 man roster, but drafting a fullback in 2013?
-
I'm going to give the chiefs the benefit of the doubt that they didn't draft anyone they KNEW they could sign as an udfa.
The trade says more about arenas than anything to me.

UDFAs are open market so I'm guessing the Chiefs wanted him bad enough that they weren't willing to risk losing him to another team... I seriously doubt Reid wants his career to end like it did in Philly so I would imagine he really wants to win in KC and the dude has proven he's a winner...

Braden on 810 this morning. said he was never contacted by the Chiefs. Complete surprise. Said he'd heard a lot from Houston, STL, and Jets, and was in contact with these teams during draft day.
Then, out of the blue, the Chiefs draft him in the 6th rd.

I would imagine this isn't terribly uncommon in the 6th round though.

Chiefs stole him away!

here's what i think happened...
in the middle of the 6th round, Reid was all "Go get me that Wilson guy from that State school" to Dorsey. So Dorsey goes and drafts Braden Wilson from Kansas State.
instead of Marquess Wilson, WR, from Washington State, who got drafted 32 picks later.
:dunno:
