Title: The importance of Rebounding Margin in Big 12 College Basketball

Rebounding Margin Leaders in  Big 12 play.  These are the teams that have out rebounded their opponents the most in the last  14 years.
In parenthesis is their final conference ranking.

2013   Kansas  +6.6   (t-1st)
2012   Kansas  +5.1   (1st)
2011   Kansas   +6.7   (1st)
2010   Kansas  +5.6   (1st)
2009   Kansas  +8.2   (1st)
2008   Kansas  +10.2  (t-1st)
2007   Kansas  +9.2    (1st)
2006   Texas     +8.5     (t-1st)
2005   OU/OSU  +4.7    (t-1st, 2nd)
2004   OSU        +4.2     (1st)
2003   Texas      +7.6     (2nd)          *KU was 2nd in rebounding margin +6.6 and was the conference champion that year.
2002    Kansas   +6.9     (1st)
2001    ISU/KU    +4.9     (1st, t-2nd)
2000    Kansas   +6.8      (4th)              *KU shot 29.4% from three that year


Going back to Y2K, There have been 16 leaders in rebounding margin in 14 years.   The leader in rebounding margin has won  a share of the conference 12 of 16 times.  Of the remaining 4 teams, KU was the only team to not finish 2nd.

Our height issue is still a concern for me..... I hope we fix it. :dubious:
