Title: High School class of 2006
Post by: MakeItRain on April 07, 2013, 07:35:49 PM
Just watched the 60 Minutes feature on Jeremy Lin. I didn't realize that he was the California HS Division II Player of the Year.  This led me to the Rivals top 150 for 2006 to see what players in California were better and what players were busts. These are fun to look at.

Played against #132 growing up... He probably peaked relative to his competition as an 8th grader.

The Big 12 did an awful job of talent evaluation, its unthinkable that a conference could have so many busts.

Missed it, but did Lin complain about getting stuck at Harvard?

We saw ol' Aint no Seats @ the Big XII Tourney...dude is built like a house now...has to weigh 300 lbs. My buddy's brother played on KU in their '08 season...heard from his bro that when he runs into Sherron now he's always like, "Yea, I'm working out, got a tryout w/ the Knicks next week," or some other BS...all his KU buddies mock him behind his back & all he does is hang w/ his crew in Chicago

Yes, he said being Asian hurt in his recruitment and he's 100% correct. He's from Palo Alto and Stanford didn't even offer him.
