Here in 2010, I have NEVER been confident when that guy has the ball. Don't get me wrong, he's a total JYC and will likely improve drastically within the next two years or so, but every time he gets the rock here in this, 2010, he makes me think he's Blake Young 2.0. Get it under control [within the next two years] man.
:runaway: <---Marty with the ball

Worthless offensively. Worthless.
-
Observe 8:28 in the second half.
:blindfold:
By the way, now would be a good time to make a request for an emoticon of a yellow sock, as in what you have when you peepee an opportunity down your leg like he just did with that steal.
-
bump
-
:curse: but also
-
He's gotten better at pretty much everything. http://statsheet.com/mcb/players/player/kansas-state/martavious-irving

I'm hoping that Rod is just making him withhold tunnel dancing from us until the KU game, or some other game at home that has some build up to it.
-
oh man, incredible bump
-
Tay's last 3 games have been night and day difference. Glad to see the improvement.

Tay has been as consistent as anyone in Big 12 play. One bad game in Norman, otherwise he's been good.
Tay game by game stats. (http://statsheet.com/mcb/players/player/kansas-state/martavious-irving/game_stats?season=2011-2012&stat_type=2&game_type=1&chart1=minutes&chart2=points&chart3=assists&chart4=rebounds_total&chart5=)

Might as well make this the master thread where all of you retards come in here and slam on Tay and in the same breath talk about how good Jamar is :flush:
-
Tay haters need to shut their whore mouths.

Pretty much textbook improvement. Just what you would like to see.
-
MODS please change the name of this thread to I think Martavious Irving Has Achieved Textbook Improvement so that Marty does not see it and start to hate goEMAW :frown:

His on-ball defense is undeniably incredible. Always has been.

My bad. I read this the first time as Martavious is Bald not bad. I couldn't figure what the hell that had to do with his basketball skills

No it hasn't, he has extremely slow feet.
-
You mean to tell me he's improved over two years of practice, strength conditioning, and game experience at the college level? Wow, crazy. Really unheard of. Yeah, incredible bump. You guys really showed me. You just can't make this stuff up, folks. I mean I don't even.
By the way it was this thread that made Marty practice hard and get good over the last two years. You're welcome.

My interaction with Tay... Reply
It was before the elite 8 run that we had, I decided that I was going to buy a table at the basketball awards banquet. My brother, his wife, myself and my wife, and my kids all made up the table...Tay was our "team representative" at our table. Don't get me wrong, I was a bit disappointed at the time that we didn't get Jake, or Denis, or Curt...but we got a "frosh" who didn't see the court that much.
Little did I know...
That kid was the nicest, most approachable person in the room at the time, although, a lot of people were a bit taken back because of his "look". (He still had the dread-locks, was a freshman, and looked as strong as an ox)...but myself, my kids, and my wife sat down with him and immediately established a bit of a relationship with him.
He was not only more than gracious to show off his "elite 8" watch, he actually took each one of our pictures wearing it. Immediately, I knew this kid was a K-Stater for life. He understood what the fans liked, which is the same thing they strive for...WINS....but he was kind enough to joke around, make fun of the kids, and just be a person. (who would have ever imagined that a student athlete is a real person??)
Anyway, I was sure to let my impression be known to Coach. I let Coach know that even though (at the time) Tay looks like a rough and tumble type of NYC thug....he's one of the best kids I've had the honor of meeting. I told Coach that if he keeps recruiting kids like Tay, not only would we continue winning, but we'd do so with class.
Martavious is a fantastic person. I'm proud to say that I have befriended him, my kids have befriended him, and we have nothing but positive things to say about that young man.
He will one day be an asset to our society, and we'll all look back and say...."Remember when he was at K-State?"
That kid has the "it" factor.

:sdeek:
I wish Frank would have gone off on that clown like he went off on the old dude in Omaha who told him Billy wasn't ready for the NBA.

Whoever wrote that has to be on some sort of watch list now. :horrorsurprise:
-
Martavious will go for 15+ points against A&M, less than 3 TO's, and 2+ assists.
-
Would take (and would correspondingly adjust the thread title accordingly).
