Don't act like this is the same as the "by the balls" thread, it's not. Just a list of your 3 favorite shows, no discussions of new ones.
1. Breaking Bad
2. Arrested Development
3. Sherlock
-
currently or all time
-
If we are going current/still running
Walking Dead
Always Sunny
Maury
-
Current
SOA
Suits
Hawaii 5-0
Pretty disappointed in my last one actually, the first two are no question but I couldnt really think of a third show I just cant miss. Also watch Franklin and Bash, Criminal Minds, NCIS, Law & Order, New Girl, Mindy Project, Castle, Modern Family etc. when I have time or am hungover on the couch on a weekend but none are cant miss.
-
currently or all time
All time.
-
this is tough. I mean, going back and watching shows I used to like a lot, I find that I don't like them as much as I did then.
-
from the thread last year... http://goEMAW.com/forum/index.php?topic=22017.0
1. Scrubs
2. Whose Line Is It Anyway?
3. Boy Meets World
4. Seinfeld
5. Justified
6. The Office
hmm. Justified has moved up to #3 now. Current list...

Great list Stevesie. Sherlock is a treat.
1. Arrested Development
2. House
3. Game of Thrones
-
1. Battlestar Galactica
2. Arrested Development
3. Walking Dead

3. 120 minutes (back in the 90s)
-
1) Lost
2) Leave it to Beaver
3) oscar Webber Show
-
Always Sunny
Trailer Park Boys
Workaholics
-
I DVR
1. Big Bang Theory
2. Mindy Project
3. How I met your mother
These are the only things I watch with any consistancy, even then, I just catch up on the weeks I missed...think I'm three or four weeks behind on them now.
All time
1. Roseanne
2. Golden Girls
3. SNL
I'll watch and rewatch those shows all. day. long.
-
Justified
West Wing
Seinfeld
Other ones on the list somewhere
Arrested Development
Walking Dead
Always Sunny
Breaking bad would probably be up there if I watched most of it as it came. Watching the first 4 or so seasons on DVD prior to watching it weekly on tv limited my enjoyment to a couple month period instead of a 4 year period. Not true of all shows, but I think taking the time and seeing the change over a longer period would help my appreciation of Breaking Bad.
-
The Wire

I didnt catch it all first run but went through all 220+ eps and the movies a couple of years ago. I'm fond of that point in my life - you should try it!

Don't know if these are all time but:

Also enjoy Mad Men, Homeland, How I Met Your Mother and New Girl.
-
Really kills me to leave Saved by the Bell off of this list.
Had to be on my honorable mention
-
Sopranos
Seinfeld
The Walking Dead
-
I honestly can't put together a list of 3. I just can't do it without having an enormous "Honorable Mention" list.
One that I am surprised that hasn't been mentioned yet is The League. Hilarious show.
Wonder Years
Life and Times of Tim
Shameless
Really kills me to leave Saved by the Bell off of this list.
Just curious - how close was "Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!" to making the cut Dlew?
-
Sopranos
Lost
Justified
-
Mad Men
Breaking Bad
South Park
-
Surprised there aren't more Dexter appearances
-
Surprised there aren't more Dexter appearances
i imagine the people that enjoy dexter, also enjoy lots of other programs that are far superior to it.
-
Friday Night Lights
The Wire
Seinfeld
-
It's tough because shows ebb and flow or maybe peaks and valleys is better.
Later seasons of Seinfeld
Middle seasons of Always Sunny
All of Arrested development
All of Life and Times of Tim
Middle to later seasons of Southpark
Most of Archer so far
Some middle to later sodes of The Office
Most of Eastbound and Down
No particular order and there are more than three. Non-comedy television shows are pretty terrible generally speaking. Can't get into them. I'd rather watch a movie or read a book.

First season of Eb&D is absolutely incredible and I'd argue the second season was good. The last season sucks ass.

2/3 is most of something.

Agreed, don't think I've ever laughed as hard as I did for EB&D S1

2/3 is most of something.
 Was just checking to make sure we were on the same page, friend.
-
Surprised there aren't more Dexter appearances
That's because it started sucking after season 4.

Not very. I like to watch it, but I like a lot of shows more than Tim and Eric. Check It Out with Dr. Steve Brule being one of them.
-
Top 3:
Seinfeld
Friday Night Lights
Law & Order
Secret Girlfriend is 3a. It's 3a because it only lasted 6 episodes. However, if you ranked the 10 funniest episodes of any show of all time, it will be 5 Seinfeld and 5 Secret Girlfriend. Why Comedy Central did absolutely no promoting of it, I have no idea.
-
Most of Archer so far
This season...woof. They had to have had a writer change or something. A show isn't what Archer was for 3 seasons then completely fall off in season 4 without something major changing.
-
What kind of criteria are you guys using? My favs include:
Psych
Dexter
Smallville (first 5 seasons)
Supernatural (first 5 seasons)
Walking Dead
I suppose if the criteria is "longest amount of time a show has/had me by the balls/vag" then I would rank them as:
1. Psych
2. Supernatural
3. Dexter
-
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Larry Sanders Show
Hang Time
-
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Larry Sanders Show
Hang Time
hey now....
-
All Time:
Friday Night Lights
Scrubs
Suits
Right now:
Suits
Justified
Burn Notice
Honorable mention shows I like:
Boy Meets World, Saved By The Bell, All of the Apprentices, All of the Celebrity Apprentices, Rocket Power, Weeds, Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Royal Pains, House of Cards, The Tudors,
-
The wire
Lost
Walking dead
-
Dexter
Homeland
Parks & Rec
-
Twin Peaks (season 1 only) would probably make 4th place on my list.
-
Sopranos (little known fact...I've been to Tony's "house")
Justified
The Andy Griffith Show reminds me of :bill:
-
The Wire.
It is the only show I have watched beginning to end without losing interest at some point in time. It's not perfect, but at least the bad story arcs still had me interested. I can't say that about any other show that I have watched.
-
South Park
Seinfeld
Lost (eff the ending though)
I can't believe those garbage CBS sitcoms could make anyone's top three list...or even honorable mention.
-
Seinfeld
Mad Men
Friday Night Lights
Top 3 for rewatching (or just not caring about storylines)
Seinfeld
Wonder Years
Leave It to Beaver
Top 3 current shows
Breaking Bad
House of Cards
Mad Men
-
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Larry Sanders Show
Hang Time
I loved that show

6th-7th grade Nicname is pissed at current Nicname for not including "The Secret Life of Alex Mack" on any of his lists. 6th-7th grade Nicname had a huge crush on Alex Mack and would have married her in an instant if she would have responded to all of my fanmail. We would have lived a long and happy life together; complete with kids that could turn themselves into metallic liquid.
Also, current Nicname wants to distinguish between early episodes of LITB and later episodes of LITB. Early episodes were great and one of my all-time faves. Later episodes, as the Beav moves into his teenage years become weird and awkward. It is they turned this funny little kid into a mildly-Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) buffoon. They didn't have to do that. They also changed the mom's character a bunch. In the earlier episodes she was pretty cool and witty, often making snarky comments and comebacks under her breath. Later on she was like some valiumed up weirdo stepford wife.

Since we are going all time I will go with

Yeah Suits season 1 was really good. But then all of the sudden they stopped kicking ass in court and it got all serious and not fun. Hopefully they get back to the non-sad parts and just start kicking ass again.
