Let me know if there is another one I need to add to the list!
-
Post who you voted for, winner gets a free T-Shirt!
-
SC!
I thought THE ED was usually in charge of this kind of thing Pete.
-
souf cack because reasons

show me MIAMI!

show me MIAMI!
If he can fabricate a sick relative, he won't even have to sit out a year....boom, take over for Larkin next year.
-
Show me Europa!

Russ Smith leaves for NBA, Angel to Louisville.

Russ Smith leaves for NBA, Angel to Louisville.
They are bringing in two points already, but they offered Angel once, they would again.

-
Frank Haith offered Angel once, I wonder if he'd take him. LOL, of course he would!
-
I put USC on there because they will have a new coach, and the first thing that a decent new coach does is go get himself a stud transfer.
-
Grant is going to need someone to compliment, and ultimately take over for Releford. Plus, he has a top 30 class coming in next year. That program is moving in the right direction.
-
Turgeon and Dalonte would love to get their hands on Angel.
-
Puerto Rico A&M :dunno:
-
It is going to be hard on Angel to watch Miami and Louisville (two teams that offered him scholarships) keep advancing in the tournament. Maybe we get lucky and he doesn't watch any more games.
-
do you mean lousiville will get ART and a t-shirt?
-
This thread makes me sadder than yesterday's game. I could never make jokes about this.
-
If he transfers I will real life burn something down
-
not transferring. kougs is right, if he goes anywhere, it's to get paid. i think he stays, but i don't know anything, just analyzing with the heart.
-
Yeah, I don't see Angel going anywhere. He did really well under oscar and will only get better and be relied on more here.
-
Yeah, I don't see Angel going anywhere. He did really well under oscar and will only get better and be relied on more here.
Won't get paid though.
-
I voted sCar, but Miami seems to make more sense to me.
-
Michigan.
-
Yeah, I don't see Angel going anywhere. He did really well under oscar and will only get better and be relied on more here.
Won't get paid though.
Honest question: Are his chances of making money overseas better or worse if he stays here and improves for two more years?
More likely, less likely, or probably doesn't matter?
-
Okie State? Not for any other reason than it is Okie State.
-

he could get a job tomorrow if that's what you're asking. if you mean: two years from now, could he make more money by staying those two years here or by putting in two years as a pro, i don't know that it matters. if he developed equally, no one would care where he had played.
-

I miss 'Te500k.

He's not going to win much here either

Duke.

LOL at anywhere but miami.
-
pardon my low bbIQ, but what's the backstory here?
-

there's no backstory. just a rumor that he's considering leaving to begin a pro career outside the u.s.
-
Don't forget to vote!
-
Duke.
:crossfingers:

Duke.
:crossfingers:
You were the first to mention Duke, so if Duke then you win. I do not think you will win, however.

has South Florida been mentioned? That is what I am going with.
-
If he goes to Missouri, is that really THAT much closer to home? :dunno:
-
has South Florida been mentioned? That is what I am going with.
I added to the poll for you.
-

I added to the poll for you.
I voted Louisville the first time around, but want to go with USF now. Am I stuck? Can I still win a shirt??
-
Heard today that UM has good shot with point guard Angel Rodriguez, who is transferring from K-State. Would be a major get.
Also heard Rodriguez will appeal to NCAA for waiver on 1-year transfer rule, Nice if Larkin leaves but UM would surely take him either way.
-
Michigan.
Is Michigan closer to PR than Kansas?
-

Yep. You are the first to vote USF.
-
Pretty sure I have some spare 'Canes gear laying around somewhere!! :excited:
-
Michigan.
Is Michigan closer to PR than Kansas?
Yes. Direct flights.
-
Missouri doesn't get him any closer to Puerto Rico, but I agree with one of the posters above that Frank Haith would probably like to have him. Haith loses the cocky short PG (his name escapes me at the moment), so the chance to plug Angel into that spot may be worth looking into for him.
In the end, I think Angel ends up at Miami and plays for Jim Larranaga (sp?).
-
I am official #teamburnitdown

Michigan.

South Carolina...ART and Frank been sucking eachother off for too long.
-
Miami. Takes over for Larkin
-
Where's the choice that's not actually anywhere near family?
-
show me MIAMI!
If he can fabricate a sick relative, he won't even have to sit out a year....boom, take over for Larkin next year.
Wow, how did you know this? (I think at this point Miami as his destination is a forgone conclusion.)
Creepy.

It's what we do here at goEMAW.com, bro.

Dunk City.

Miami giveth and Miami taketh away.

Lol who voted Duke? Give them the shirt, Pete.

Oregon

Miami. Takes over for Larkin
I'm with you on this.
-
Lol who voted Duke? Give them the shirt, Pete.
:gocho:
-
None of the above...if he's serious about doing this for family, he'll go back to PR and make $120,000 a year playing in San Juan.
Otherwise either SC or Miami.
-
Whatever school it is, I will make a #teamangel shirt in that school's colors and wear it every K-State gameday.
-
I think Angel is pretty serious about getting away from his awful coach who mumped his team over in the first round of the tournament so he would have to stay at home and watch Wichita State win his region. I don't blame him and don't care whether he moves closer to his family or not. He's going to be a stud no matter where he goes.
-
I'm going with South Florida, they seem like a solid dark horse for Angel
-
Hopefully he goes back to Mexico State

Gonzaga :shakesfist:

Miami. Takes over for Larkin
I'm with you on this.
Pretty much a trade at the end of the day
-
Northeastern Puerto Rico Tech
-
Picked Miami
-
LOL at the tards that think Currie would release him to play at SC.
-
Miami giveth and Miami taketh away.
If this occurs, the Cats still come out ahead in Miami deals (Denis + Arthur), but this one will still hurt.

NC State.
Trim, send me the flag.

would be great if he went somewhere farther from home, like UCLA. i would enjoy that.
-
Does Joe Dooley give him a call? I bet he does, I bet he does.
-

That's why I said Oregon.

LOL at the tards that think Currie would release him to play at SC.
Not allowing him to transfer where he wants, outside of petty, would pretty much acknowledge even before Angel leaves, that it would be all about the coach he's leaving.

Poorly written, without a doubt.
Placing restrictions on where he can go before he actually goes there would pretty much acknowledge that the AD doesn't think his motive for leaving is to be closer to home. South Carolina is much closer to Florida and Puerto Rico.
-
the correct answer is pro
-
LOL at the tards that think Currie would release him to play at SC.
I expect him to get a full release to anywhere he wants to go, with no limitations in destination. Will need to be in good academic standing.
Would be stunned if he was at all interested in South Carolina.
-

This makes more sense with Angel using Trim as legal counsel. TRIM IS NOW A SPORTS AGENT!!!!

I answered USF, but I really think he'll wind up further South in Fla - but not at the U. So sad to see Angel go :bawl:

Shane Larkin ?@SLarkin_0 59m
Don’t listen to whoever put the rumor out that I declared. It isn’t true. I will make an announcement Sunday at 6 about my future.

SUNDAY @ 6!!!!!

So we should expect Angel to announce he's going to Miami around 6:05?

The Larkin to Angel high 5 will probably be super adorable.
-
Why is everyone acting like angel can play right away.
-
playing for oscar is an insufferable hardship.

Kansas State transfer Angel Rodriguez will visit Miami within the next week, per a source......

How much is that source getting paid?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

@ESPNAndyKatz: Shane Larkin to pass up final two seasons at Miami for NBA Draft.
'grats, Angel.

Who will keep Angel's seat warm next year while he sits?
Or, does Angel have a sick Grandma?

IIRC, Shakey was Angel's legal guardian and I am sure he has a long list of ailments

It looks like former Kansas State starting point guard Angel Rodriguez is, unsurprisingly, close to choosing Miami as his transfer destination.
Shakey Rodriguez, who coached Angel at the AAU and high school level intimated to Rivals.com that Miami is a near-lock at the moment.
Shakey says Miami "is his priority, his No. 1 choice. We're looking to make it work."
"Angel has to visit, spend a couple of days down here," Shakey said. "After the visit if it's feasible thing, it can end right there. The kid has to feel comfortable, meet people. He'll come down and visit, spend a couple of days. If he likes it he'll make the decision."
Shakey is also under the impression the Hurricanes want him badly, which would make sense. At the moment, it seems like there's no way another school catches him. Given the news about Shane Larkin departing to the NBA this morning, this transfer could be big news for Jim Larranaga's program, especially because Rodriguez has a good chance of getting an eligibility waiver because of family circumstances. In that case, he'd be able to play this coming season, which would greatly fill the hole left by Larkin.
It's likely Rodriguez will make his decision within a week.

So, being homesick/family being poor is considered 'family circumstances'?
-
Good for Angel, I guess.
-
I for one hope he gets to play right away

They should be pretty good.

Miami needs to send us another 5* football player in return.

Angel Rodriguez will also attempt to get a hardship waiver from the NCAA to play next season at Miami, source told CBSSports.

The whole waive thing makes it seems like their was tapering involved.

Yeah, it all happened way to fast for there not to be.
I imagine that Shakey could have done the in between work and that way Miami could claim they never spoke to Angel, etc. :dunno:

Seems like just yesterday he announced he was leaving, 'clams, and he has already found his new team. Maybe it was a normal amt of time btwn the two(leaving us, agreeing with Miami)? I don't know. Just seemed like this process went fast.
-
Orris just found a new team as well. He announced what, like a week or two before Angel? It doesn't seem that fast to me.

there's really not a lot to happen. was there really any question (once we knew he wasn't leaving to go pro), that miami would be at or near the top of his list?
after currie gave angel his release, larranaga is just a phone call away. "coach, can i come play?" "yes? ok i will."
-
No, no. Definitely tapered here. More extreme than a boot cut even.
-
oh man, missed that one. yup, this is definitely a skinny jean situ happening here in mhk.
-
Yeah, just went back to the OP and saw it was from March :surprised:. The disappointment and pain are still fresh enough that it feels like just a couple weeks ago.

Angel didn't announce he was transferring until April 22. This thread is just yet another example of GE.c BITB'ing everybody else.
