Please don't rub anything in our faces.
-
Meh, they've earned it.
One good thing I did think of is that I do feel good for Bread right now. He stuck with us all year, I appreciate that.
-
Bread is a champ. If Illinois gets hot they'll beat Miami.
-
Pro Tip: most illinois fans don't care about KSU does

Congrats to Groce. To take that band of incredible rough ridin' pussies through the best conference in the country and get them to win a tournament game. I mean, THAT'S coaching.
-
They can't really say "I told you so" because we all agreed with them that oscar sucks
Besides, Bread should be a good enough reason for goEMAW to adopt the Illini as its bandwagon team for the rest of the tournament

Already my team :ck:

Didn't get to see the Cats' game, tied up in court all afternoon. Don't really know what to say other than I'm bummed for the resident elite basketcat fans. Nothing shittier for a college hoops fan than not being able to enjoy the tournament. I can relate. Was also really looking forward to qatz v. Marshall. Sorry bros. :frown:

You are good people Mr Bread.

Yeah, props Bread. I don't know how you did it.
-
I have spent decades rooting against the big ten but now root for the Illini solely due to the good work Mr Bread has done on this board.
I am truly glad Illinois won : frown:
-
I love the custom title for Illinois fans, the "We gave you oscar" reminds me of a jilted lover giving her once soul mate an STD intentionally as vengeance for a transgression.
-
Mr Bread made me feel a bit better.

Yea but we care about MR. Bread.
-
I'll Mr. Bread's Mr. Jelly anytime.

I check in here and read every so often, you guys have a great board.
You guys knew what you had for the most part and I commend you for not buying the hype. That has to be hard after having such a good regular season. UI fans know exactly what you are going through....and frankly it sucks.
All you can hope is that Weber learned from his recruiting mistakes at UI. I find that very unlikely, given how stubborn he is though.

Would you mind? My internet friends and I are trying to have a moment. You're rough ridin' ruining it.

He addressed this and said he learned. Said it was the biggest mistake he made at Illinois. Said he would not recruit the kids other people think he should recruit and would go after "his type" of kid - whatever that is. He does have the role model for that strategy sitting over in the football offices.
That's the only hope I have left.

yeah, him addressing it was kind of depressing actually. it's a bullshit excuse about not doing something you can't do. like an ant telling everyone he's not going to try to go to the moon.

If he had really, actually, learned from his experiences, he would hire an assistant go be his general manager, and have absolutely nothing to do with evaluating players.

JFC dude, he's telling you that his mistake was trying to recruit high profile guys, and how he's not going to do that here--keep in mind that when he says "I'm not going to do that here," he's referring to recruiting high profile guys--and you're rough ridin' lapping it up.
What is wrong with you?

You're drunk again Ira, Weber is giving you code for I really don't know how to recruit and I don't believe in getting tall lengthy players.

that one guy that posted about how kstate would come back, stop attacking and then lose should post a few gloats.
