He finally tried with a few seconds left.  Too late.

So with 7 seconds on the shot clock, he calls a timeout, but with 9 seconds on the clock he doesn't call one?  And then his dumbass tries to call one with like 1 second left.

And he's an X's and O's genius?

I agree. That was the WORST end game coaching i've ever seen. Your team comes back from down 18 points at half to piss away the game. Absolutely terrible. Piss poor terrible. Our players, fans, alums and other coaches should feel cheated right now. F#cking LaSalle? Really?

i'm not against oscar playing on, especially after the horrible look ksu got after the first timeout. but if you are going to play on, oscar needs to have a better handle on whether or not something is materializing.

you can't say, "oh crap, we've got nothing!" with 1.5 secs on the clock and try to get a timeout.

Remember the Baylor game???  He had a play for 1 second left not for 9!

Yes.  oscar is a pussy and his vagina is permeating through to the team.

"hey guys, you really battled back, we're up, now let's just try to sit on it".  what a rough ridin' pussy.

let's be fair: which ref would possibly expect a coach to call timeout with 1.5 seconds left after he let the previous five, six or seven seconds go by? and honestly, oscar should receive a ton of criticism for even TRYING to get the timeout.

angel had a much better chance of drawing a block call and/or making a basket than ksu did of executing some crappy oscar inbound play in a catch-and-shoot situation.

great post. I have zero problem with not calling a timeout there. Or for calling a timeout when he realized he sat Angel with less than two minutes in the game.

I don't really care about the end of the game that much, it was the pussified effort of the entire first half that bothered me, and Angel for the most part played like a scared little girl out there.

what was the gameplan coming into the game?  did they rough ridin' watch La Salle?  Was their rough ridin' game plan "hey, let's play like pussies on screens, and let's forget that we have a rough ridin' 7 footer and they have the lolly pop kids" ?

JO being essentially benched for the first half is unforgivable.

what did you say MiR?  I can't hear you through the rough ridin' dunks and blocks JO had time after rough ridin' time in the 2nd half.

But he did bench JO for the first half and not call a timeout on the final possession
