Beems, I understand that you live (or lived?) in corn valley, which the residents think is 'conservative'. However, the fact that UC-Eugene is a hippie circus doesn't discredit the stupid that takes place state wide.
I can probably vouch for this better than anyone here.

I've never lived in Corvallis. I have quite a few friends who are Oregon State alums and we've been to a bunch of games there, but I live in the Portland metro area. Oregon is much more conservative than California and Washington.

The budget really is not the president's responsibility. It would be nice if he took that approach at all levels of government and stopped taking it upon himself to drone strike US citizens overseas.
