They played the Final Four in Albequerque.  On New Mexico's floor, Lobo's lettering and logos included.

it's crazy to think that if pepperdine had been able to hold a 6-point lead with 1 minute left (probably a 99% win probability, especially when you consider there was no 3-point line in that particular game), nc state doesn't make it out of the opening round, jim valvano doesn't become beloved superstar coach, and most of us probably have no idea of his existence.

there would have been no jimmy v speech, no jimmy v foundation and no 30-for-30 documentary.
