Aw man
-
I would probably cry. I hope you can't see the future
-
I can't wait to watch the ginger crush our souls again! :goodbyecruelworld:
-
The Wisconsin fear is so rough ridin' annoying
-
Wiscy is probably up to a 4 now. No worries unless we meet up in the f4.
-
Sounds 'bout right
-
They have been in our region 3 of the last 4 times we were in the tourney. If we had knocked off Syracuse last year, we would have played them. It's insane.
-
If the game is in KC I might have to sell a farm or two to get good seats so those damn 'sconnie boys can hear me loud and clear.

why do you think this? oscar's record against whisky sucks crap last few years, iirc.
-
Our chances of winning against Wisconsin as a 5 seed would be roughly identical to any other 5 seed we would play.
-
I'd take slu

Depends on which Wiscy we get. The one that lost to Purdue at home (3-3), or the one that beat Indiana in the big 10 tourney. I like our chances, we were always hurt by our inability to score against them in the past, we do that a lot better now.

According to this season, as long as the kats don't roll out in pin stripes I think you guys could battle them. Something about those pin stripes on Indiana is like blood in the water to those white folk of wisky
-
Wisconsin is further in our heads than KU. Do not want.

I don't think they are in our heads at all. In 08 they were a much better seed and had a really good team. In 11 they were a 4 seed we were a 5. The game was a back and forth game that went down to the last minute like it should have. This year it would probably be similar.
-
they would annihilate us
-
Hi guise
-
Well, hopefully Ole Miss is the 12 seed that knocks off a 5 this year
-
Ooof... Bruisewitz again.
Sorry, guise. I'll be pulling for you.
-
Pete is pretty nails, you guys.
-
LOL
-
Woof. Hardest region. If ole miss doesn't win its been fun.
-
Hi guise
Nice job, but oscar is going to beat Bo like he stole something

Wisconsin lost to Florida by 18 points
-
Hurray! We've hit this season's KITN!
-
Lasalle/Boise St not exactly a cake walk either. But yes, we will not make it to the 2nd weekend.
-
Woof. Hardest region. If ole miss doesn't win its been fun.
The region is the most pud IMO. But Ole Miss & Wisconsin both make me :ohno:
-
Looks like cake to me. :billdance:
Wisconsin at KC is in the rough ridin', boys.

Good job, Pete.
Wisconsin.
-
Luckily, we've got some big, physical, experienced post players to match up with these guys.
-
Full breakdowns of Boise/La Salle and Wiscy/Miss will be coming Tuesday.
-
if ole miss beats wisky and southwell guards henderson that will be rough ridin' awesome and worth every bit of the price of admission
-

Henderson would likely be guarded by will/rod, not shane.
But I agree with the sentiment. The smack talk would be incredible.
-
Beat Wisconsin or #BURNITDOWN #GOTTLIEB4KSU.
-
We will trash these clowns, losers. Trash.
-
if will guards henderson and i know real big if we might as well not show up, worst player in the DOB's era

You base this on past results?
Great BBS'n Pete.
I don't recall these two teams playing previously. Are Frank, Jake, and Jordan Taylor coming back?
If past results were always an accurate predictor of future results, sports would be amazing boring and not at all worth watching.

68. Beating who you should beat
Wisconsin has won at least one game in 10 of its past 11 NCAA tournament appearances, but while the Badgers are never fun for opponents to face, they generally have beaten only the teams they should have under Bo Ryan. They are 15-4 against lower-seeded opponents under Ryan, but just 1-7 against higher seeds (that win coming in 2009 versus Florida State). Of those 16 wins, only three have come against teams seeded better than ninth (all three of which were 5-seeds).

over their last 50 games, 16-34. MU was ranked higher than KU during that stretch 3 times. They mustered up the sack to win 1 in 3 (once every 2 years), we've mustered enough to win 1 every 16 (once every 8). We're beyond pathetic.
It's more embarassing to play the game than it would be to petition the conference to have those games forfeited every year.

missouri has had better teams than us over that timeframe
-
Sure, MU was better. MU went to the tourney 15x during that time period (89-12), we've gone to 10 (including this year). The unexplainable disparity still exists.

It's a mental thing because our dumbass fans put so much damn pressure on them to win the game. I'm surprised they aren't having anxiety attacks on the court.
-
hey guys, this college basketball thing is just too much pressure. let's just pat them on the back. 3-47? Hey, they tried hard, we just pressured them too much. shower up and let's get some chicken nuggets.

Zackster just doesn't get it. It's ok, you have an agenda and you don't let pesky things like common sense get in the way of it. 'Grats for that.
-
Jesus Christ. Kansas is really in the heads of some of you. Are we going to be talking about them in every thread for the next two weeks?
-
I don't give a crap about Kansas as we won't see them for the rest of the season. I'm not sure why some of you still do.

Missouri never completely gave up on basketball for about 15 years.
We did.

A Wisconsin thread devolves into a KU cry fest. Kansas City posters are easy to spot. Sorry about work tomorrow, bros. Just fire all of the squaks who run their mouths, you can find more housekeepers and mail clerks.
Don't be silly. KU is simply the most obvious example of "past results being an accurate predictor of future results.". 47-50 or whatever speaks clearly for itself.
But, I suppose if the KU example makes you butthurt, it's just as easy to instead use our predictive dominance over Texas in all major sports. Some teams/programs simply have a mental edge over other teams/programs. I can't explain the statistical fact as to why we own Texas harder than any school in the Big XII, but I can tell you we have owned Texas and will continue to own Texas and in this case past results have been a clear indicator of future results.

you're 100% wrong. well, almost. Our past "ownership" of Texas has as much effect on the future as ku's or Wisconsin's "ownership" of us. that is, none.

What's wrong, the owning Texas part or the some teams/programs having a mental edge part?
-
Back to topic, I guess Wisconsin played very good basketball in their conference tourney. I also assume they're going to out-size our 4 guard lineup by a significant margin. But is the disparity as big as it was the last two times we played them?
-
I hope Marshall Henderson takes a giant Slim Shady dump on them and jersey pops his way into a strip club in KC and misses the game vs us due to "flu-like symptoms."

2 wins is not enough to provide a mental edge; your sample size is way too small. I would say Wisconsin matches up very well with Frank Martin's type of play before I would say they have a mental edge on K-State.
-
Wiscy matches up well vs everyone. Slow tempo, fundamentally sound, good D, can shoot the 3...that's every conceivable way to stay in games vs more talented teams.

The last piece to the oscar>Frank puzzle was oscar's championship, but oscar beating Bo this year will be like getting that puzzle framed and putting it up on the mantle directly in front of Frank's portrait.

Every time I fill out a bracket, I have KU lose to the first good midmajor they play. I don't have them facing one this year, though. Final Four :tsc:.

VCU? I'm terrified of that potential matchup. The pressure would make EJ poop himself.

I have hard time thinking Ole Miss gets by Wisconsin. Give Bo Ryan 4 days to prepare for Marshall Henderson and I think Henderson has a meh game

I don't see VCU beating Michigan. I think they are still living off that miraculous final four run and they aren't really all that great this year. I would be scared shitless of them if I were a KU fan, though.
