I don't know. I love it when fans say "hang another banner" because I get to laugh at them.

Join the movement, Steve Dave and chum1.  Now is the time which we must celebrate our overwhelming number of accomplishments appropriately by hanging banners.

I vote we hang a banner each year we don't win it so we don't bust our banner budget

Need to add "Champs" below all big12 logos on any court or field first.  It needs to be added so that the font for "champs" is at least 4 times larger than the font of "Big12".

Also, we should rename BSFS to BSFCS

Also, the fOOD, should be the new OOC.

Not applicable.  From 1939 to 1950, it was 8 teams in the tournament.  1951 and 1952 it was 16.  From 1953 to 1974 it was anywhere from 22 to 25 teams.  From 1975 to 1984, it was anywhere from 32 to 53 teams.  Then it went to 64 in 1985.

Depending on how many banners we put up for the men, the ladies might not get any banners at all.  We'll just have to see.

A special unveiling honoring K-State's basketball heritage will highlight "Madness in Manhattan" on October 25, as the Wildcat men's and women's basketball teams tip off the 2013-14 season at Bramlage Coliseum.

Doors for the free event, which is sponsored by K-State Federal Credit Union, will open at 8 p.m., following the Homecoming parade and pep rally. Festivities will start at 8:30 p.m.

In addition to the unveiling in the Bramlage Coliseum rafters, the evening will feature scrimmages, a dunk contest and skills competition by both teams. The event will also showcase special video presentations and performances by the K-State pep band, Willie Wildcat and the Classy Cats. In addition, there will be comments from head coaches oscar Weber and Deb Patterson and selected men's and women's players.

Also, it looks like there might be some installation of LED ribbon boards or something along the top where the paint was.  When I was in there Saturday it looked like a mounting board of some sort has been put in place.

The townies are the real winners here.  All the room and free banners you could want.

As for raising the banners, if a tree falls in the forrest....do townies hear it?

I'm pretty sure if they were to hang 30 and 0 in the rafters they'd do it during a conference game. Plus they'll probably wait until both guys are done playing so that they can be there.

Not disagreeing with you about retiring it on senior night, but shouldn't HIS ceremony be convenient for HIM?  :dunno:

Jake is the GOAT. He deserves a retirement ceremony fit for a king. We should schedule BYU for that night and have Gus Johnson read his bio and career achievements. His jersey banner needs to be a little bit bigger than all of the others. Unlike the other numbers hanging up #0 needs to be actually retired. Hell, Willie should have to give it up to. In fact, no one gets the number zero anymore...No 10s, 20s, 30s, 40s, or 50s from here on out either.

It will never happen for Beas unless he graduates from K-State. Which will never happen. It's the same reason Bishop wasn't in the last Ring of Honor class.

Bish not being in the Ring of Honor is even more Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) than Beas not being retired.  Graduation hasn't meant a damn thing for some time now.

Also, Belvis, I couldn't care less what other schools do.  Beas is it.  If you like our bb program, or have liked it in the last 5 yrs, its because of Beas.

Beas is it.  agree.  but, we all care what other schools do.  gives us context.  That's how we know when something is truly kStateo - we look at how other schools and fanbases perceive us.  It's human nature.

Hanging Beas jersey just highlights how rough ridin' awful our basketball program was.  Wouldn't it kind of be like hanging a Royals banner for going 86-76?

I dunno.  I guess I'd like to see a beasley jersey.  but, the dude was on campus for like 9 months and will never be back.  can see both sides.

Attention all one-and-done 'cruits.  Come play here, kick ass for a year, tweet with some ladies that are single AF, then get your jersey retired if you live up to your hype.

KSU: Now featuring rich walk ons who need buds/roommates.

Seems like a pretty good sales pitch.

Don't be stupid. If they did the same for Mike or Jake you wouldn't have the same take. She was the best player in the history of the program, why not do it. Why be bothered by regret if she got hit by a bus during the off season.  All jersey retirements should be that way. No one has ever given a good reason as to why they shouldn't.
