After chatting with a friend from OU, we couldn't help but agree that both Fred and Frank are going to flame out at their current posts. This means both will be looking for jobs after the 2015-2016 season... meaning, I will be cheering hard for Frank to be the next Head Coach at Iowa State.
How will you welcome the Frank Martin Iowa State Cyclones to Bramlage? :excited:
-
You're a dumbass, Fred will do great. You're lucky to have him.

The Mayor will stay in Iowa for a long time. And both he and you should be happy about it.
-
Eventually, Fred will leave ISU. No one can sustain a dynasty there. And, why stay at ISU unless there is no other alternative? I think he goes back to the NBA.
-
Isu was 12-6 last year. They have had some tough luck late in games this year. If the season ended right now, Isu is an 11 seed that no one would want to play.

More likely that Frank will end up in Miami after Jim Larranaga moves to greener pastures.
-
Wait, you think Fred will flame out, but Rhodes is fine?
Am I wrong here?
-
Yeah, they would deserve fred leaving them

Larranaga's is in his mid sixties - this is his last stop and most likely will be at Miami for a number of years. Poor Frank.

There will always be plenty of high school math teaching jobs available.

Frank wanted that Miami job so bad:
I’m the eternal optimist. If every game we played was like the Florida game (a 39-point loss), I’d probably be calling people back in Florida to see if they need a real estate agent somewhere, because that means that we’re too far away and I’m probably not going to be able to get this thing done. But knowing that in seven of the 10 (SEC games), with two minutes to go, we’ve had a chance to win the game, that tells me it’s right there. It’s right there.
-
Frank to ISU would be amazing. Their fans would not handle it well. I would laugh at them (more than I do now).

Boy, he sure did. Poor Frank. Your heart really goes out to anybody that wants something so bad and fails so miserably trying to get it.

Yeah, would be hilarious. But if ISU had a list of 100 coaches to choose from, I think Frank would be #100 on that list.
-
It would not be amazing and I would hate it.
Unless we could get the Mayor.
-
i would rather see frank at nebraska
-
If we could get a huge stud as coach, I'd love Frank back in the conf.
He'd never take the Moldag job though.
-
I have a feeling he will be when he finally gets the job at the U and they are part of the Big 16
-
Hopefully we rehire Frank in 2016
-
Guys, if Frank flames out at South Carolina (they'll probably give him at least 6 years because they don't give a crap about basketball), he'll never have another D-1 job. He'll go back to being an assistant somewhere or just retire.
-
Frank will have a similar career trajectory as Tim Floyd without the NBA pit stops.
-

They don't play home games in the NCAA tournament, ISU has been a nightmare away from home. If I were a tournament team I'd love to play a team with recent losses to UT and Tech.
-
Miami would never hire trash (frank).
-
 Of course ISU would want a coach that flames out at his last gig.
