My wife's great grandmother turns 100 tomorrow :moreira: A couple of years ago we got a picture of my daughter, my wife, my daughter's grandmother, my daughter's great grandmother, and my daughter's great great grandmother.

mine is going to be 99 this year. he was 72 when I was born and still kicking.  :thumbs:  grats on having an old gramps like me.  :cheers:

My grandmama passed away just before Christmas. She was 105. Pretty amazing stuff.

My Great Grandma died a few months ago at 106.  She lived alone in her own house and still drove up until a few years ago. 

Even though she wasn't stuck in a nursing home or worse, it seemed kind of miserable and she would mention it herself quite a bit.  Lots of seeing your own family die, along with every one of your friends.  For perspective, she was born in indian territory before Oklahoma was a state, her husband died 78 years ago, and 3 of her great grandchildren died before her.

I've always wondered if I'd really like to live that long or not.

dying young(er) really sucks too.
