Cats did win fast break points: 12-8!

An all too familiar story in Allen Field House; K-State gets beat up, out of rhythm, and play soft on defense after early after foul trouble, then sort of plays even the rest of the game. Destroyed on the boards, shooting, loose balls, etc.

Move on and hope this doesn't mess with the minds of the Cats. Plenty of winnable games coming up if we get back to playing like we are capable.

KU has scored at least 1.22 PPP in 6 of the last 7 seasons against us in Lawrence. Last year they only had 1.03 PPP in Lawrence, but we only had .76, our worst off eff of the year.

Point 1 = KState was 4-15 from 2pt in 1st half and 7-25 and one point in the 2nd half (even taking out Withey's 5 blocks, we were 7-20 at one pt)

Point 2 = KU was 9-10FGs with 3 layup/dunks and 3 3pt shot in a 21-6 run over 6 minute span.  This was after we came out decent (down just 14-10)

Point 3 = Angel 3-6 from 3pt.  He is now 7-15 last 3 games.   If we can get him going shooting the 3 (We have 4 guys shooting 39% or better already) then this offense can keep getting better.

I never expected to win this game.   Lose by 20 or lose by 5.  Its a loss.   Move on indeed

38.7% on 2s. We should have just shot 35 3s.

Ben was the story, if you look at their stats without adding in his, they were below average, we got tore up by the best player possibly in the country, credit to Tharpe for compromising the defense and getting the ball to Ben.

When the team with more talent plays up to their abilities, that team wins.

I hate JO so much. Frank probably would have dumped salt on his face when he came out bleeding.

That's what happens when you chase the ball the entire possession...woof.

Yeah if you shoot around 40% on 2s, you are probably going to have  to shoot over 40% on 3s.  Now we actually did shoot over 40% on 3s but the 14 TOs and lack of ORs were too costly.

KU got off 8 more shots and had 3 more FT attempts.    And it was worse.   With 6 minutes to go, KU had 12 more FG att and 1 more FT att.
When you win the TO battle and just be even on the OR battle.... this doesnt happen

2nd chance: 19-2

19 pts off of 13 ORs.   Making us pay.  Just like Iowa St did in Ames.... 14 pts off of 7 ORs in 2nd half alone.
In Manhattan, Clonies had 2 more ORs than us, but we made them pay with a 20-10 edge in 2nd chance pts

1.46 PPP in the first half is just stupidly good.

This obviously wasn't a very good defensive performance, but KU was lights out.
