The 6 signs we hold up before opposing team line ups have been stolen, BIG DEAL, SO WHAT, WHO CARES, WHOS HE, GO HOME, YOU SUCK
If you return the signs now that will be the end of it, I will not look for you, I will not pursue you but if you don't.......... I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you :chainsaw: :chainsaw: :chainsaw: :chainsaw: :chainsaw: :chainsaw: :chainsaw: :chainsaw: :chainsaw: :chainsaw:
-
yeah, NOT cool.
-
how could you be so negligent as to allow them to be stolen?
-
shitty to steal them but I don't like that particular "tradition"
-
I thought the AD held on to those and passed them out at the beginning of every game?
-
We have left/hid them in the same spot for the past 7 years or so ever since our group got them, no one has ever touched them before but this crap is not cool. Had to make crappy paper signs 5 minutes before tip off yesterday
-

thats just the big heads
-
Take a lap travis.
-
So how short of straw to you have to draw to get a Will big head?
-

they weren't stolen, it sounds like you lost them. you can't just leave them lying around in a public place.
-
:nono: How could you let this happen? :dubious:
-
What was the last home game prior to ISU, Texas? I like to picture Rick Barnes taking them after the game and having himself a laugh
-
if they're ever found, hopefully they're given to someone who gives a crap about them.
-

We tucked them into the usual spot in one of the suites after the Weber presser against Texas, they werent easily visible
-

You mean you guys leave them in Bramlege between games? I don't even know where to start with this one...
-

yeah, that is not a good spot to keep something you supposedly value
-
"Man, I left my $50 bill in the middle of Aggieville last night and when I came back today, it wasn't there! Do you guys know what happened to it? I'm going to find the person who took it and make them pay!"
-
He's really mad guys, i think he means it.
TCEH, you might go read the western union receipt thread, inside job.
-
I think it was clones that stole them. they are always up to no good.
-
That sneaky mayor, smart coach to steal those signs. Just not smart enough to foul KU up 3, with less than 10 secs on the clock. Look what happened.
-
Seriously, not cool. They've been "hidden" in the same spot for years. Losing the signs would suggest that we misplaced them or forgot where we left them, which simply is not the case.
Whether you are a fan of the tradition or not doesn't really matter. What matters is that someone took something that has been a part of K-State basketball for nearly a decade.
We asked everyone we could find who works at Bramlage to see if they had any idea where they are and nothing came up.
Currie and the fan experience staff have been notified, and if the original signs don't show up then fan experience will create a new set that will be owned by the school.
It would still be nice to have the originals back, but if taking them made someone feel better, well... :jerk:
:ksu: "You Suck!" :ksu:

WHY ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH WOULD YOU NOT TAKE THE SIGNS WITH YOU TO AND FROM EACH GAME SO THAT THEY ARE KEPT SAFE BETWEEN GAMES?!?!?
-
Well, the signs were here before we were and that's where they have always been placed. I think the reason for leaving them at Bramlage was due to the fact that students used to line up for games much more than they do now and there was always a mad rush to the front row, therefore making the signs an inconvenience to carry. At least that's my theory...
We have always taken them home between seasons, though.
I/we are not treating this like it's some sort of terrible thing...as stated before there will be new signs made if they don't show up.
Just kinda sad that someone would actually take the time to figure out where we kept them (it's not like they were in plain sight or that we hid them in front of anyone) and then take the time to steal them.
Still would be cool to have them back.
-
I would guess someone just saw them at a women's game, conference, or some other event held in Bramlege and decided to take them.
-
The person that took them is a prominent poster on gpc, I'd try there.
-
Bob Knight wants some input on the next sign order.
-
Hey guys, I ran across a "Go Home" sign a while back and I am looking to sell it to a dedicated fan. $50 OBO. Willing to ship before payment if you have good heatware rep.
-
You guys will never find where Gooch and I leave our pak heads, booze, flags and scarves on (f)OOD between games.
-
I already did. I take the Puerto Rico flag home in between every game to wrap myself in it, and bring it back before you guys get there for the next game.
-
This has JC when all over it. I bet if you make new ones, you will be blocked from bringing them in.
JC just made some tuck donors happy with a little clandestine work.
-

That's the decoy. Look closer; the star's upside down.
-
stupid "tradition" imo
-
I have no problem with it except for the "Who's he?" one. What do you mean, "who's he?"? They just rough ridin' announced his name
-
stupid "tradition" imo
I don't mind them. Would rather just boo the crap out of the players, but whatevs.

My thoughts exactly
-
stupid "tradition" imo
I'm not sure how far it goes back, but it's been around a while. When I started at K-State in the early 90s Willie used to hold the signs the floor.
-
Pretty tuckish. Original for each player would be more lol.
Still bunch of cocks to steal them.
-
I have no problem with it except for the "Who's he?" one. What do you mean, "who's he?"? They just rough ridin' announced his name
I think it's more like "I've never heard of that person who you just announced. What has he done of relevance?"
-
JFC. They used to yell that stuff in Ahearn, but we were smart enough we didn't need signs to remind us what to say. The "How to be a fan in the K-State basketball student section" IQ has really gone in the shitter. I blame Asbury.
-
It was probably those Texas fans.
-
This was apparently necessary for the school to take ownership of another of its traditions.
Also, moldaggies now have something to float back home on.
-
Did you PM BSAC about this? He handles this kind of stuff for us...
-
7 years in the student section?!
:sdeek:

stupid "tradition" imo

This actually is a pretty good idea... Perhaps the 5 new signs could all just say "BOOOOOO".
Problem solved, new tradition, everybody's happy.
:emawkid:

Hey travis_canbys_empty_hair,
After you get those signs figured out, feel free to next work on infusing a little creativity into the student section routine like the chant sheets that were distributed in year one of Huggins where there was actually a concerted effort to be original and irreverent.
Thanks
-
Great chance for us to make up new chants.
"What a Pud"
"Huge Dork"
"Ugly Face"
"Smells awful"
"Smells worse"
-

We chanted recruits names, I remember when Arthur and Bryce were visiting they seemed to love it! Great idea. The dead beat daddy chants were classic!
-
Oh man, it's so fun to remember when the students cared!
-
LEARFIELD :shakesfist:

-
my god, those signs are stupid.
-
LOL at the thought of the athletic department printing "you suck" on something and distributing it to anyone. Also pretty sure the AD printing any of these would violate the conference sportsmanship initiative. They were bullshitting you. " We will reprint them" will become "It's too late to get them this season" and will eventually be "we don't need to worry about these we went five games without them, no one cares."
-
I was in the student section when those came on the scene and I think it was Garth that had them made. Either that or he was just the one that handed them to the students. Not sure, but either way I'm glad they're gone. Maybe now somebody can think of an idea that doesn't suck.

Retribution for the Wilcat_Mask?
-
Turning back to court and being quiet are better than "go home". If they went home we couldn't play the game and wouldn't get a W and not win the Phillips.
-
Turning back to court and being quiet are better than "go home".
Nope. None of those are good ideas. Just boo
-
We get plenty of boo practice so shouldn't be hard to implement.
-

I'll just add that the flood aggy fans said that booing intimidates the refs so that we get all the calls. Seems we are really on to something.
:dunno:
-

No, it's just said to one player. Who ever is 2nd string would start the game in their place.
-
What if that player was actually homeless? I would feel like a jerk for yelling that.
-

Holy crap guys, we didn't yell that at Sherron did we? shazbot!.

:ksu: The signs have been returned! :ksu:
so what's the story?
-
Did someone use Willie's head for a salsa bowl?
-
WHO THE EFF?!?!?!???
-
Hey guys, someone stole my car this morning (keys were in it and it was in the middle of the road every one of you use twice a week). You better bring it back to me and I promise not to cause physical harm to your body! :shakesfist:
But, like, if you don't... the athletic department will give me another, newer one because they liked it so much. TIA.
-
What if it were just:
"I mean, it's ___ _____." For every player.
-
just make a "PUD" sign and use it for every player.
-
So seriously tho, who the eff was it?
-
just make a "PUD" sign and use it for every player.
Would enjoy a pud sign
-
Must have been stuffed in another suite.

good lord I shoulda caught that. I think because you listed him second, I just let him be the 2 guard without paying attention to the name.
