What has the line been on the last 3 KU games?
-
... I mean the last three games that they have played, not the last three times we played them.

KU has been awful against the spread this season.
This is typical of under-achieving teams.
-
Wow. So over the last 5 games, uk is underperforming the spread by a whopping 10.1 points, and we've over performed the spread by 3.8. But one more stat to consider: we've got a 97.6% choke rate against uk (with a margin of error of +/- 2 points).

Not to be a Nancy Neg, but there's no way we win tonight.
I mean seriously, there is really nothing more predictable in sports than K-State going into Allen Fieldhouse and pissing and shitting themselves in front of everyone. It's what we do and it has happened almost without exception for the last 25 years.
So here's the script, we will come out tight and nervous, start off insanely bad from the field, let KU begin the game on an 18-4 run, panic, JO will make a lot of weird faces, allow the crowd to take over, wonder aloud why this is happening again, then hope we can cut it to single digits before half time. Ultimately our star players will finish well below their season averages and some guy like Martavious Irving will have a career night and we'll lose by about 12 points.
That is all. :gocho:

Yeah Tay is going to have a career high tonight.
Also JO will have a great game. Won't matter. Remember when Luis Colon went nuts at AFH?

Remember when Luis Colon went nuts at AFH?
I do not. But I do remember a fellow by the name of Jermaine Maybank going for 26 in route to a 27 point loss in Allen one time.

I don't think KU can score well enough to go on a run before the under 12. They may hold us to 4, but at most we'd only be 3 behind.

I don't think KU can score well enough to go on a run before the under 12.
the thing is, i fear that they will be able to tonight.

you forgot the part where KU is in the bonus 8 minutes into the game, our best player is on the bench in foul trouble, and KU ends the game shooting 20 more free throws than us.

Another thing to think about. Our bigs don't have range, allowing Withey to camp under the bucket.
Withey has had matchup problems when rangier forwards pulled him away from the basket, freeing up the paint. Withey had to respect the range of ISU's Ejim and Niang, OSU's Cobbins and Nash, and OU's Osby. When he didn't close out, these guys were able to knock down 8-10 ft. mid-rangers. Ejim, Niang, and Osby had 19, 13, and 17 pts. respectively. A good chunk of those were not scored at the rim. Look at KU's losses and the number of points scored by Forwards and Centers. Withey, Young, Trailer, etc. are probably the worst collection of bigs that KU has had in the last 20 years.
But, in our loss to KU, we had no post production. We had 9 points from all of our bigs combined. Gip (5), JO (4), everybody else (0).

If they truly don't bring Withey out on Gip or JO, then those guys have to ball screen a bunch. Forces KU to make a decision on Withey hedging and how they will play the ball screens (over or under) with the on-ball defender. We have done that plenty this year with Angel.

I'm OK with JO shooting 8-10 footers in rhythm.

He's been very average from that range.
