Andre Coleman... confirmed.
:bill:
-
has he coached before?
-
Some people on the board are going to pretend they know who he is
-
has he coached before?
WR Coach at Youngstown St. under K-Stater Eric Wolford
-
:billdance:
-
This is good, right?
-
has he coached before?
Yeah.... Great guy. Was just getting into coaching when I played golf with him at Elijah Alexander's charity golf outing four summers ago.
He's been coaching WR's at Youngstown State and I think he'll be a great addition as the kids will love him, he should be a good recruiter, and he's EMAW to the bone.
-
Had no idea that luke was a bookie.
-
I asked what would qualify AC and make him the "GREAT HIRE!!" and "AWESOME!!" over on another board. My only reply....
1) He's relatively young.
2) I'm not afraid to say that his ethnicity will help
3) Dude was in the NFL, which will mean something to recruits.
4) He knows what K-State is about
5) Should be hungry and excited to move up and help is Alma Mater.
:flush:
-
Looks like he has taken advantage of the Second Wind program:

The1BigWillie you seem skeptical, why?

I guess because we swapped a guy with 20 years experience with a guy with 2 years experience probably for the sole reason he played here and would work for next to nothing.
-
When he got drafted, he immediately bought a sweet BMW and would cruise around campus. I remember thinking that he was a rock star.

Go gives a eff if he can coach? Go recruit and talk to kids about the NFL. We have LOADS of good coaches.
-
The kids Coleman will tee up for Bill to ground out with will be top kids.

I don't care about coaching ability or recruiting ability nearly as much as remembering the coach playing on my favorite football team.
-
My opinion from the Michael Smith thread (apologies to OK Cat for the language):
I like Dre & I think he'll do well. He has the charisma for recruitment if :bill: lets him do it. He was a good receiver & should be able to teach (he's personable, driven, and a good communicator). Plus he'll lower the average age of the coaching staff by like 10 years. I say
-
I don't know where people come up with the idea that he's changing the "age" of the staff much... Dre isn't even two full years younger than Smitty.
:dubious:
-
I like this hire.

a hard working and non version of Michael Smith, huge upgrade, smoking supply sales will drop in Manhattan without Smith
-
I remember watching this! I think its a great hire!
