2nd Pace PPP eFG% TO% OR% FTR
KSU 27 1.13 44.4% 18.3% 56.3% 40.7%
Opp 27 1.10 51.9% 11.0% 23.1% 11.5%

Opp 55 1.08 47.0% 7.3% 23.3% 32.0%
Cats end up getting out TOed, but with 9 guys grabbing an oboard, a "let's get out of here" win in Lubbock was not much problem. I'm sure the 10s of fans in the arena to watch went home disappointed.

Did we force 4 turnovers on a team that averages over 16?

inside their heads. they spent so much time on to diff, they completely forgot about the jycs.
-
Kinda puzzling that we only won by 9. But when Tech ends up being +5 on the TOs, i guess that is the main reason since we are usually on the right side of that figure
But we got the W on the road and that is never a bad thing.

Yeah, tonight was weird. Didn't play good D, were careless with the ball at times, and outrebounded the crap out of the other team. Whatever it takes to win I guess.

The good thing for us is we used a 24-8 over a 10:30 span and gave us that comfortable 13 pt lead. Cause much to our dissappointment we let the lead get down to 3 before halftime even got here.
Then we got the lead back to 13 in the 2nd half and just could not put them away. They scored on 7 of 8 possessions to get the game to 58-52.
Good offensive night, Dominated the boards, Held them to under 50%, We had 2 more made FTs...... normally we would have won quite easily

It be pretty cool if Josh Gray played for our team instead of the garbage team we thrashed tonight. He's fun to watch.

Agreed, he would probably rather play for the KSU Wild Wildcats as well.

The TO differential is a statistical outlier for both teams (especially for Texas Tech) and it made the game a bit closer because it was only a 55 possession game, by far the slowest we've played all season. Every season teams have games that swing to defensive games (grinders) or offensive games, where both teams play better than their numbers; this was one of those. We still managed 1.24 PPP (our 2nd best in Big 12 play) and won the game. Take it and move on.
-
The other strange stat outlier from this game is that we had 0 steals, a first for this season. In 19 games this year we've had at least 5 steals.
-
let's be honest guys, the refs took this game and made it what it was.
-
I did think the refs were super odd in this game. Seemed like they were calling every possible hand check foul, away from the ball foul, ticky tack foul, etc, on KSU, and only obvious hard ones on Tech. Then the last 5-8 minutes of the game they started calling a bunch of little stuff on Tech. Weird, inconsistent officiating, again.
-
yup, i'm glad at least mocat watched the game. the refs gave tech a chance to win by trying to foul out our entire team in the first half, when we were still up by 10 late in the 2nd half, they said eff you tech and gave the game to us.
-
Refs were bad, so why push the defense seeking TO's, when they're likely going to the line with one ticky-tack call after another? Board, hit shots . . . get out of town.
