Title: oscar is a liar

Thank you for attending our last home game. The student attendance for the game was the highest student attended game since 2008. Although we were unable to pull off the victory the energy you provided was second to none.
I thought the second sentence was kind of funny.

Curious why you think he is lying... do you have access to scanned student ticket reports that are different than what the Athletic Department has? Or are you just estimating that he is lying based on your perception on how many people are sitting in student sections?

I think he's lying (or misleading) because it seems like something our athletic department would lie (or mislead) about.

They're tricky that way.

Can you share the numbers? What was the second highest student attendance since 2008, and how many more students went to the KU game?

does this really matter to you?  are you really concerned that oscar could be a liar?  has any other coach in recent memory "lied" ?  did it matter then?

Did they fix the way student tickets are done this year?  If they fixed the Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) methods they've used the past couple of years that kept students from being able to sell their tickets, I would buy that statement.  However, that stat would be indicitive of the Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) student ticket methods from the past, not anything from this year.

Don't remember #2, was either a KU or Texas game. Since the lineup system thing was put in place the student attendance at KU games had been trending down. I've heard that some of this was due to students feeling like there wouldn't be any seats available if they weren't part of that lineup system. This year there were several references in KU game promos that there would be student seats outside the lineup seats. Not sure if that helped, but it could have.

my guess would be that they didn't sell as many non student seats for the game thus freeing up more "student seats" for the game. just a guess. who knows. who cares. not me, cat fans. you know what i do care about? the boneless wings that i will be eating at home while watching this big showdown tonight. what kind of sauce? well wouldn't you like to know.

Does it matter? Of course. We're KSU and we do things right.

FWIW, I walked into the student section at the 12 minute mark in the first half against KU in '11.  There were definitely open seats where I was (near the top above the tarp).

Ha, I knew it!

In 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 when I went to the K-State/ku game, and couldn't find a foot of space to stand in, I thought to myself "I doubt all these assholes are students". Turns out I was right! Currie was just waiting for the right time to tell everyone.

Texas '10 they were turning students away. So I'm guessing that was "second" highest since 2008.

Whole stick of butter for a single dish, yes?  Stirred into the hot sauce one pat a time so it melts?  I saw someone making this and I was like, "wtf, a whole stick of butter!"

little known secret is that butter was also the secret to pyramid pizzas crust that everyone liked so much. i guess it was basically like 75% butter.
