Just a guy who really enjoys sports and especially stats.   Not just B-ball but football stats and facts too.  I breakdown things probably too much from a stat and trend standpoint.    All of FANs stats are really cool and well liked by everyone, so i just try to elaborate on them or just give some insight from a different take.    That is why you will see me talk about how bad/good Kstate played for a stretch of play, or show that we started out slow but then played so well the last 3/4 of the game

Take for example 2 years ago when CU came into the OOD and beat us.   We let them get runs of 13-0 and 12-0 and neither run was a quick 3 minute one.  Our offense dissappeared for 2 long stretches (something that cant happen at home).   Or just recently how we shot 75.0% eFG the final 26 minutes in Ames (after we shot just 33% the first 1/3 of the game)

I dont post on here near as much as some, but i spent a decent amount of time reading topics (especially during hoop season)
Just happy Kstate is relevant in BB again.   My memory is really good.... so i can remember tons of things from college/pro BB and FB and especially about the NCAA tourney.   But unfortunately Ksu was dismal for so long that i did not follow them that closely

I was in grade school and had season tix when Norris Coleman hit a jumper (and got fouled) to tie KU with under 10 secs left in 86-87 season(Ahearn went bonkers) and i thought i was hooked for life with ksu hoops.  So its depressing that i dont have too many memories from the TA/JW era

It's much more depressing to have lots of memories from that era...trust me  :dubious:

If memory serves, he missed that free throw and we lost in OT.  Was very dejected after that game.

I remember Ahearn was insane. And some time during the timeout I realized with certainty he was going to miss the free throw.

yes he did miss the FT and we lost in OT, but that game was fun (especially when ur a kid) and i could not believe how loud that place got. I am too young to remember the Rolo Blackman shot vs Oreg St, so that season was pretty enjoyable.  The following year even more enjoyable

I really like pp's posts and analysis of runs and segments of games. Very enjoyable (and take a lot of work).

In my head I assign frequent basketball posters to basketball sports media. _FAN, Rusty, and sys are easy they are Norlander, Parrish, and Goodman respectively. I think pp is Gasaway in my head.

Powercat Posse, if I had one complaint about you, it'd be that I can't shorten your name because calling you "PP" would feel weird.
