How the eff does Spradling not get locked in the basement of oscar's doghouse?

oscar X'd and O'd Self to death tonight.  If we had 2 players capable of hitting a wide open J we win by 10.  Hell if ku doesnt score 10 off absurd luck deflections to players standing under the basket we win by 10.

KState was clearly the better team tonight, but sometimes the ball doesn't bounce your way.

Yeah, down by 3 with a 3 second diff in the game clock and shot clock and mr. x's and o's has to wait for bill to call a timeout (after 10 seconds ran off) to realize he should be fouling.

self called the timeout because art almost forced ku's Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) guard into a 5 second count that the Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) guard apparently didn't notice was occurring.  weber was right not to interrupt ku's Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) guard being a Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).

bullshit.  The foul should have came immediately if a steal didn't occur.  It would have saved us 8 seconds.

Weber was lights out tonight.  Trying to hang anything on him is laugable.  Angel, Southwell and Weber were fantastic.  Rodney was ok.  Got pretty bad after that.

Weber treats timeouts like women, man.

This. Also KUs Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) guards both caught inbound passes in their last 2 possessions and blatantly travelled. Fortunately ku is permitted to travel due to the nazi big xii conspiracy to prop up its last aryan brotherhood franchise.

I would much rather have Nino play the 4 with JO at the 5 than keeping Gipson in there at the five.

Let's see if Nino responds to being put in the doghouse like Shane did

The math is simple for Nino; Shane played 32 minutes. A couple weeks ago the Nino/Shane at the 4 battle was completely up in the air, Shane has pretty much destroyed any competition that was there.

How was weber good tonight?  Making rodney (and travis) run through the exact same screens for 40 minutes? By not posting rod when withey went out?  Jfc.  bill didn't even have to go to junk defenses.

Gibson marginalized Withy to nothing and should have had 10 assists if our worthless guards could hit an uncontested j.

Zacker, you are killing it tonight my friend. Half the time Releford got to the spot before McG did, and did we change Rodney's route up to use that to our advantage? Of course not, that would be too easy.

I thought the 2nd half looks Rodney got were significant. He only had 2 shots from 3 in the first half, and 7 in the 2nd (he made 3) and all but one forced 3 in the 2nd half were really good looks. The approached changed in the 2nd half and we often got Rod open by flashing out after a screen, which I don't believe he did once in the first half. I thought it was a nice adjustment considering how KU/Releford played him in the first half.

With the way he has been shooting why not Shane at the 3 and Nino at 4? We need every one of our scorers on the floor vs. teams with good offenses like KU, ISU, etc.

That assumes Rodney at the 3, which I don't think is a good option. The problem is our limitations at the 2 with Will and Tay being really the only options.

We look really good at the 1, 3, and 4 spots right now and bad at 2 and 5, with 2 being the worst.

I don't really think Rod got good looks; I think he just hit a few contested shots in the 2nd. Releford was right there on his makes; Rodney was just up for the challenge for a bit there.

Why wouldn't Niño play over Spradling? What does Sprad do that Niño can't?

Why wouldn't Niño play over Spradling? What does Sprad do that Niño can't?
handle the ball?

Obvious answer is the move Rod or Shane to a 2/3 flex depending on how the defense is playing or who has the hot shot.

Better than nino, against a guard defender, yes.  Lots of qualifiers.

Kinda like what FAN said..... Shane is playing great ball right now so he is gonna see a bulk of the minutes at the 4.
Nino played bad vs OU and he is in a little funk right now.

I hope Nino starts playing better, but even if he does, at this point you have  to give Shane a 2 to 1 adv in the minutes.  Diaz just isnt ready to play meaningful minutes, so that is why Nino playing decent ball is important for this team

Side note: Nino thinks he's money with the 18-foot jumper.

Follow-up: he's not.

 :horrorsurprise: :sdeek:

are you blind? maybe you don't know who Gipson is, he's the wide guy, #42 the best, most consistent big we've had this year
