Title: For lack of a suitable replacement
Post by: aggie_station on January 19, 2013, 10:59:39 AM
Bill has decided to coach another ten years. That's why JB and MS hit the road. Even Bill knows Sean doesn't have what it takes to be a head coach....now.

If Bill wanted Shawn to be a HC, why didn't he have him out coaching somewhere the last 6 years getting some experience and proving that he can coach.  Big mistake by Bill and Shawn by Shawn just sticking around MHK being director of football operations or whatever the eff he has been.

Some that are ITK have suggested that as ASSOCIATE HEAD COACH Sean has been "running" more of the program than most think. If he somehow lands Kenny Hill I'll be very impressed. I'm still not able to say that I see him working out should he replace  :bill:

Speaking of - anyone think James Franklin would ever leave Vandy to come back to KSU?

My impression has been that, whatever title he has, Sean runs the program logistics, i.e., travel plans, etc., but his X and O involvement is limited to special teams. And I have always liked James Franklin. Would he leave Vandy to come here? I would think so.

Didn't Vandy just lock in Franklin to a new multi-year deal that is obviously (though can't confirm because they're private) more than what LHCBS currently makes?

After a brief search, it appears they did:
