SD, which is best?
The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas in Maui? (http://www.starwoodvacationnetwork.com/the-westin-kaanapali-ocean-resort-villas/photos/#)
The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas NORTH, also in Maui? (http://www.starwoodvacationnetwork.com/the-westin-kaanapali-ocean-resort-villas-north/photos/)
or
The Westin Princeville Oceanville Resort Villas on Kaua'i? (http://www.starwoodvacationnetwork.com/the-westin-princeville-ocean-resort-villas/photos/#)
And which one would provide a young SB with the best aesthetic setting for oceans and cliffs and other Hawaii-y stuff.

I'd personally stay at the Westin Resort or Sheraton Resort instead of the Villas on Maui. Anything that says "villas" is a time share that they are renting out as a hotel when the rooms aren't in use. Of the three Kauai has the best setting. It's not on a beach though. You have to hike down to the St. Regis' beach. But, in Kauai, you are going to drive down to Tunnels beach or Hanalei beach anyway (both pretty close).

Have stayed at the Kaanapali Alii before and was probably the best 8 days of my young life. Fwiw or whatever. Kaanapali is the best beach on the best side of the best island of the best state of the best country of the best planet, imo

Thanks mocat, but I only take Hawaii advice from my real life friends. Are we real life friends? (hoping so)

i don't have any interest in knowing if we are real life friends, but ever since meeting you and your wife last november at the cosmo cat pub, there is ONE thing i've been wanting to know ...
you might remember that you got up to use the bathroom, leaving me and your wife - who i didn't know and had never met - alone at the table. now, i'm not trying to criticize here (if you had to go, you had to go), but generally, in situations where only TWO people know each other, i will wait until one of the people who doesn't know each other gets up to go to the bathroom, at which point i will go at the same time (leaving just ONE person at the table, thus saving them from the awkward pointless three minutes of "so, what do you do for a living?" conversation that everybody hates.)
but, you didn't do that, and so i was stuck trying to fill a couple of minutes of small talk with your wife until you returned. which would have been very easy to do, except ... we didn't know each other very well, and i hate hate hate asking questions when i don't care to hear the answer.
anyway, as soon as you left, i immediately began racking my brain for questions to ask your wife. i'm sure your wife was doing the same. but neither of us could come up with anything! three, then four, then five seconds of total silence!
how awkward!
and that's when it hit me. that's perfect! we can make small talk over how awkward it is when someone leaves two people who don't know each other alone at the table.
so i said, "wow, doesn't get much more awkward than this."
your wife agreed! soon, we were making real, actual small talk; not the crappy forced kind where we ask each other dumb questions! and then, you returned within two minutes, and everything was back on track.
i've been wanting to know: did she think that was weird?
also, are me and your wife real life friends?

You should be able to make conversation with a stranger. And even if making conversation was really that much of an issue (which it obviously wasn't based on what you said about being able to make REAL, ACTUAL SMALL TALK), then you should have just gone to the bathroom, too. Like your shitty driving, this one is totally on you.
