I like Nino, but he was bad in the first half.

How many shots can he take with his feet on the 3 point line in one game?

Not a good night for Nino.   Good thing is we did not need him tonight

Nino is bad at setting moving screens.... but is it me or are we the only ones that get called for that.  I meen there are probably 10-15 illegal screen easily they dont call every game on both teams.... but it seems like our opp. never gets called for it

Nino sets screens like he's blocking for Hubert on the edge. And yeah, officials could call moving screens much more, but to be fair most bigs are much more subtle about it than Nino.

it just amazes me. I mean, I was taught to set a pick/screen the first year I started playing. Nino has been called for more moving screens this year than I ha e ever seen out of any player over a career./

Nino needs to watch some Bulls games and take some notes on how Joakim Noah does his moving screens.  I swear that guy gets away with 6 or 7 of them every game.

He lunges too much.  That's why he's getting called for it.  If he would move his feet a little more he would get away with it.

In Nino's slight defense, our guards are generally terrible about taking off before the screen is remotely set, so part of the blame lies with them. (But Nino still sets LOL screens in his own right.)

Loosely translated and also in my opinion:
Two people can eff up a screen, and in the case of the wild Wildcats, they most often do.

LOL at the thought of the guards waiting on Nino to get set before taking off.  :tappingfootAngelguy:

It's not the guards job to wait for Nino.  That could've clogged the lane for their potential drive or caused the man they intended to feed the ball to to be covered.  Nino just needs to get his ass to his spot and plant his feet.

My sense is that we have just as many moving screens away from the ball as we do on ball screens. At least in Nino's case, but I'd say that's true overall.

If Nino is heading to his spot and the other man (ballhandler or no) cuts before he gets there, the blame is absolutely shared at the very least by the cutter. In certain cases it's entirey the cutter's fault if he's blatantly early on his cut.

My guess is there are quite a few more bad screens away from the ball.  Mostly due to the volume of off ball screens that we set.

Definitely. It would be interesting to count just the number of screens Rod runs through during the course of a game.

I also really enjoy it when we just let Rod stand in the corner for a possession to rest while the other 4 guys run offense.

Doherty was overall very bad, but I actually appreciated some of his points on the motion offense. It was simple enough, but still good.
