Title: ESPN's Chad Ford on Jake
Post by: JMart on March 22, 2010, 12:30:12 PM
Pullen has gotten light interest from scouts all year. He's a 6-1 shooting guard and there just isn't a lot of interest in guys like that. But his play on both sides of the ball in the tournament has reminded scouts that Pullen might be an Aaron Brooks-type player in the pros. He can really shoot with range and has quick hands. I doubt he'll declare for the draft, but at least he's on the radar.

Darn.  Just when it was looking like Jake could be Big 12 POY next year.

I don't like this JMart fella anymore. It's like he comes at our happiest moments with Debbie Downer-type posts all the time.

For shame, JMart, for shame.

Aaron Brooks - you are now native Houston.   When are you going to leave the Rice beat?  Even the baseball team is doing poorly.

he should declare and workout and stuff.

Isn't Aaron Brooks like a lot quicker?   :dunno:

he should, i agree.  even though someone (nba?  ncaa?) changed things up so that the workout/eval. period is way shorter.  i'm not sure how much flying to workout for teams and stuff is allowed or would be feasible anymore.

someone in the local media should look into it.  something useful they could do, since they all hate recruiting so much.

Working on it, man. In fairness, I'm doing a little bit - no, a lot - of everything right now.

great news for Pullz.  would be awesome to get a look this year but doubt it would happen.  not sure what the early declaration deadline is going to do for border line players like him.
