I'm happy for ABJr. and Chris Harper but to find out today that Landry Jones accepted an offer makes me want to vomit. He has the fifth highest QB rating out of all the Senior QB's in the Big 12 behind Geno Smith, Collin Klein, Seth Doege, and Nick Florence. Plus he just looks like a total douche. Not Johnny Manziel douchey but like a Chris Weinke type douche.

landry jones is a great qb.

landry jones is a great qb.
Like one of the four best senior QB's in the country great, or like the best college QB in the state of Oklahoma great?

Like 1st place at the Down Syndrome Olympics great

landry jones would have started for every college team in the country this season if he was on their roster.

I like Landry, but let's not get carried away.

It's kind of embarrassing for OU that their greatest QB ever statistically is that sucky.

landry's problems had more to do with the rest of OU sucking, imo.
the only qb's that i can think of that would be a "better fit" for their team than landry are probably collin and manziel.
-
Landry is by far the best QB OU has ever had. He has the best stats, and he's accumulated them over the past 2 seasons against what are by far the 2 most difficult conference slates OU has ever faced. I'm pretty sure that Sam Bradford is the only OU QB to ever start a game in the NFL, and he's not very good.

I would also include Barkley, Mariota, and Geno Smith.

He wouldn't have started on every Big 12 team let alone every single college team. He doesn't start over Geno Smith at WVU or Collin Klein. In regard to teams outside of the county, I don't see him starting at Alabama either. You don't bench last years national championship game MVP for Landry Jones.

I would bench McCarron for just about any QB in the Big 12. He's the weak link on that team, and it's scary to think about how good they would be with Landry Jones at QB.

Barkley and Smith both have elite skill sets than Landry just doesn't have, and I don't think Landry would be a good fit for Chip Kelly's offense.

Landry has a negative leadership affect on his team. In that ND game he was physically and emotionally beat by the 3rd quarter. He was pouting the last 20 minutes of that game.
-
Landry is by far the best QB OU has ever had. He has the best stats, and he's accumulated them over the past 2 seasons against what are by far the 2 most difficult conference slates OU has ever faced. I'm pretty sure that Sam Bradford is the only OU QB to ever start a game in the NFL, and he's not very good.
While he may have great stats I seriously doubt most OU fans consider him the best QB they've ever had and there is no way this or last years conference slate was any tougher than OU in 2000 when they beat four top 10 teams in Texas, Nebraska and K-State (twice if you include Big 12 championship)

That 2000 OU team also played 4-7 Kansas, 2-9 Baylor, 3-8 Oklahoma State, and 3 shitty nonconference teams while this year's team played #1 Notre Dame and a conference slate against 8 bowl teams and only 1 free win.
It doesn't really matter who most OU fans consider to be their best QB. Most K-State fans don't consider Josh Freeman to be our best QB and they are all just as wrong as those OU fans.

Hold on, you specifically stated that they played the two most difficult conference slates the past two years and now you're throwing in non-con games. Also, you're arguing that they played eight bowl teams this year. That's not a fair representation of the difficulty of schedules because there are 35 bowl games this year. There were only 25 bowl games in 2000. There is no way Iowa State is going to a bowl game this year if there were only 25 bowls.

There is also no way ISU is going to a bowl game this year if they only win 2 games, like Baylor did in 2000. I didn't point out any shitty non-bowl teams that OU played in 2000 that would have sniffed a bowl game this season. I also stand by my statement that OU's 2012 conference slate was much more difficult than their 2000 conference schedule.

Even OU fans know Laundry sucks. He's the 4th best college Qb in the state behind 2 of the 3 okie state guys and that Nubb who transferred to Tulsa.

That's debatable, but he's still the best QB that OU has ever had.

I feel like Landry hasn't really improved since his sophomore season.
