The replay showed Izzo trying to call one, but I don't think anyone heard him.

haha. better to be lucky than not a control freak.
-
Why does no one stop the ball anymore in last-second situations? I just don't get it.
-
That last MSU shot cost me a $25 Subway Party Platter... :curse: :curse: :curse:

GWill was out of TO's. And kougs, both teams really did fine stopping the ball. Both teams just made great individual plays.

I don't mean to take anything away from the shot. I mean, 6.6 is plenty of time to get down the court regardless, but 'ryland didn't really pick up the ball until they were already down to the arc. Might not have made a difference, but I still think he wouldn't have gotten a set shot from right on the line had they made MSU go east-west a bit or give the ball up earlier.
Moot point now I guess.

ok, props to neither coach, then. props to the players for showing that coaches are control-freaky dumbasses for calling timeouts to let opposing teams set up their defenses.

It would have been much easier for MD if Izzo got his timeout.

Definitely. It's stupid to call a TO in that situation. The disarray favors the offense.
