I'd like Chad May a lot more if he hadn't turned into such a dick.   I am pretty convinced that the offensive line was so sick of the guy by the Aloha Bowl the purposely let him get smashed repeatedly.

I was trying to do a CIS project once and some dude just talked at me for like 30 minutes about how Chad May was the most important player of the Snyder era period. I didn't tell him to pipe down because I knew I'd be able to share his point of view with you guys.

I remember the student section counting down the last 5 ticks of almost every play clock hoping it would stop Chad May from getting ANOTHER delay of game.

The TV announcers thought we were trying to be helpful.....

Former roommate and I called the delay of game the 'Kavanaugh' play.  I wish I had been around for the Chad May.

FWIW, Kavanaugh is now a Med Rep

When chad may was the third string qb for the vikings, he stood me up at the Sioux City, Iowa mall. They scheduled him for a signing at the card shop and he never showed. I was 10 at the time. He's been dead to me ever since.

'Cept May had a bigger ego than Freemaw. May really WAS 'God's gift (to himself).' He did almost become the first Wildcat QB in a LONG time to beat Nebraska - he almost single-handedly did it too.  :bill: is a MASTER talent-developer, DITR polisher.

Freemaw +  :billdance: = could've been overwhelming to watch.

Know a chick that used to work with Chad May - her words exactly: "Jesus, he is such a rough ridin' tool.  I knew you would ask me about him and yes he's the guy that played at KSU. If he knew you were a fan, he would spend hours telling you about his glory days just to feel you fawn over him.  I hate him so much; do you want me to have him sign something for you?"

"It was a big confidence builder for me when we beat Minnesota (30-25). I hurt my ankle that week, and we beat Minnesota up in the dome. Then we played Nebraska and I threw for 489 yards. From that point forward, it was smooth sailing. We lost (to Nebraska), but it seemed like everything was clicking. "

"I liked (the offense).  I used to go to the line and call plays. My senior year, I called a lot of them. The huddle wouldn't last very long. It would be just, 'Check with me on one,' and we'd go to the line. "
