Fiesta Bowl, Jan. 3
Oregon (11-1) vs. Kansas State (11-1): For a split-second, it appeared, this could be the title game. But on the same day, fittingly, the Wildcats were upset at Baylor and Oregon fell to Stanford. Still, this is the best matchup after the title game. How will K-State's defense fare against Oregon's high-octane offense? And how will Heisman finalist Collin Klein end his college career? Also, to add another layer of intrigue, it could be the final games for coaches LHC Bill Snyder (retirement) and Chip Kelly (NFL).
Vegas: Oregon by 9.
Prediction: LHC Bill Snyder wins what could be his final game as Kansas State's coach, 41-38

I'm betting he's wrong.
-
wouldn't surprise me if he does
-
lol at him picking us to win. the guy is definitely a dumbass.
-
Snyder doesn't leave until Tate is out of school.
-
I can only imagine the kind of piece of crap rag Fort Worth has for a newspaper. Probably a lot like the Kansas City Kansan
-
Wow TCU is going to great lengths to get rid of Patterson by planting stories in the local papers. They aren't pawning him off on us this time though. Fool Fitz once, shame on you....
-
All season it was my belief Snyds was gone after this year. I definitely thought he'd call it quits after a Fiesta bowl victory. I'm not so sure he can walk away now with this recruiting class. He's never seen anything like this
-
Would you trade LHCBS for 41-38 and Fiesta Bowl hardware?
I'll hang up and listen off the air.
-
Sounds like he was stretching for one more similarity between the teams (both coaches about to leave). I think he stretched a bit too far for both coaches.

Hell no, I don't give a crap about bowl games. We already got one of the three trophies I wanted and the other two are now out of reach. Also, I'm terrified this recruiting class will implode if Bill leaves...

No
-
Maybe he's leaving the cupboard full with the recruiting class :ohno:
-
I would be surprised if he retired.
-
It would be an incredibly selfish and harmful way to retire, so he probably will.
-
He isn't retiring.

yeah thats what i got from it
-
I'll be surprised if he retires before 80 at this point.
-
Were all know he wants to keep coaching, he needs to stop being a weirdos about it.
-
He will not retire after this season. After next season? Probably not.
-
Retire?
Ha.
With this elite recruits that the GRSOAT pulled in, HCBS isn't going to retire anytime soon.
He's just gonna have his chocolate chip cookie, do the :bill: and start scheming the eff out of the Big XII in 2013.
-
He won't retire for the simple fact that he has a gajillion trick plays left up his sleeve that he was saving for some damn reason. :billdance: (ftp://:billdance:) Use them all against Oregon Snyd's!! :shakesfist:God damnit, I want to see a trick play this year that works!!
-
Writer is afraid of all the talent heading to the wild wild cats...wants to do his part to keep the lone star state talent in state.

that would be a horrible trade
-

Only thing that COULD prevent him coaching until he's in his 80's is if he develops health problems. No rough ridin' way he will retire for another decade, IMO.

-
If I have to trade LHCBS retirement for a Fiesta Bowl win, it better be a 41-0 blowout, and not a three point win in a shoot out.
-
I live in Dallas and I'm pretty sure Ft Worth does not have a newspaper. I don't think any of the suburbs do.
-
IMHO Snyder will "wait out" Currie if he has to.
-
No John Currie letter since 11/9??
Yes, I think LHCBS will wait out John Currie.

Waters calmed.

Was all for Snyder retiring and JC making the hire but after the oscar debacle I do not want JC here when Bill steps down

Fiesta Bowl, Jan. 3
Man, the Mayans really had it out for you guys. Funny how they waited to end the world in december the same year you guys play in a Jan bowl. Tough break. :chainsaw:
