Delivered booze/kegs for these guys.

Iceman.
If I could get paid like I do now, I would have stayed there my whole life.
-
Movie theatre. Sounds dorky but it wasn't. Boss hired all hot chicks on our recommendations. I mostly did box office but sometimes would run the projectors (they were the old fashioned kind). Hooked up with a lot of babes on the roof, too.
-
I grew up on a dairy farm. Basically, I got to do awesome stuff every day that you puds could only dream about, unless you grew up on a dairy farm.
-
Doorknob factory.
About once a month, they had a factory wide meeting where all the people on the floor would go into the cafeteria and be briefed about whatever it was that "corporate" wanted to be done better (usually safety bs) and answer trivia questions about safety or the history of the company. The prizes were these giant, industrial chain locks. I just always though that was really funny.
Yes you got the answer right, now here's your prize! A giant chain lock! Now you can go home and lock whatever it is that you need locked with this huge lock!

Foreign Media Analyst. In other words, paid to read newspapers online.

I painted houses in college and loved it. My tan was bangin, got off at like 3pm and could still booze that night w/o getting hungover.
-
Driving range ball boy. Paid a penny a ball and meant 12-year-old 06 had the nicest crap in sixth grade. :gocho:
-
Worked at a movie theatre. Free movies and all the nachos you could devour. Also, found a way to scheme the place out of a lot of money. Those were some of the best years of fanning's youth.
-
country club bag room staff. unbelievably awesome job for a 17-18 year old. lots of beer tips, driving a cart around all day, use of golf clubs/driving range, milfs everywhere, no hard work. great stuff

scheme and steal are not necessarily the same thing.

Hopefully your new prospective employer doesn't google your name and find this post.

Sonic carhop. We could turn the speakers on and listen to what people were saying in their cars. I had all the goods on everyone. Plus, I had no responsibilities so I blew every dime I earned there on stuff I wanted -- sunglasses, clothes, etc. Also, told my manager when I wanted to work and refused to work any other times. Wish I could get away with that now.

I had a job that was so pud but I don't know if it was my best job because it didn't pay much.
My current job pays well but can be stressful.

Nope. I loved that job. No responsibilities. All of my friends worked there and all I did all day was take soft drinks to people's cars and stand around in the parking lot hanging out with my friends. What's not to like? (Also, only worked there during the summer. Would probably hate in winter.)

did greens work for a summer, it was dandy. Boss was a pushover, could go into the clubhouse and eat and drink anything, anytime. Almost made mowing enjoyable when you could go "refresh" your drink behind the bar every couple of holes. I don't think I have ever done so little and gotten paid for it.
-
What's not to like?
sonic radio.
smelling like old breakfast burrito mix and fake ice cream every day.

Oh. Well. I had this thing called a shower, and I used it. Also, every day? Please. I worked there on Wednesday nights and Saturdays. Another great part of that gig -- rarely working.

I cooked your food while you guys banked it as car hops. You were the enemy! I did eat a lot of cheddar bites though.

I always felt a little sorry for the cooks like Young Fanning. We were outside having fun, not smelling like fry grease and people gave us tips even though we made minimum wage.

He has a knack for turning bad things in to fanning brags. Pretty impressive how he always finds the silver lining.

Worked at the Phoenix airport loading and unloading / moving airliners during grad school. Was pretty much the best job you could have.
-
Would it be wrong if I said "Stacey"? If so, I apologize.
-
Filby Liquor, easiest 4 months of working ever.
-
Worked at Safari Jacks/Aggie Station/had one or two other names down in the ville when I was 16 before it burned down. I was the owners right hand man, the first hour of work consisted of watching The Simpsons and counting money in the safe. Then would go grab us McDonalds. The rest of the time was spent stocking the bar with ice/beer and hitting on the female staff. Best part was being paid in cash. Best job ever, I :bawl: when it burned down
-
I've had 2 really awesome jobs.
Had my own lawn mowing business in highschool and cleaned up. Mowing lawns was not that glamorous but if I decided I wanted to go to the pool and chase fillys instead of work I could do that. I also used to use younger players on the football team as below minimum wage labor.
The second awesome job was a cook at tubby's in college...The actual work and pay sucked but I worked with my roomates/other friends and we could drink on the job and eat all the food we wanted.
-
I worked at a daycare. That was pretty easy, got to take naps and eat alot
-
Worked as a field maintenance guy for all the baseball/softball fields in Manhattan all through college. Wasted gas by racing around buildings in the gator, made other ppl clean up when ppl crap in the bathrooms, etc etc etc. Basically ran the place :gocho:

I would say 50% of my diet and my daily in take of the age of 16 was cheddar bites and ranch. Oh, the other 50%, orange slushies. :gocho:
-
i like the grape and the blue slushies from sonic the best

EllRobersonisInnocent: What the hell is this?
puniraptor: EllRobersonisInnocent, you have the right to remain silent. Any statement you make...
EllRobersonisInnocent: I'm being charged with a crime? Is that what this is? I'm being charged with a crime? This is funny. That's what this is. This is...

EllRobersonisInnocent: ... I'm gonna rip the eyes out of your head and piss into your dead skull! You mumped with the wrong EMAW!
puniraptor: EllRobersonisInnocent! Do you understand these rights as I have just read them to you?
EllRobersonisInnocent: You fuckin' people... you have no idea how to defend a message board. All you did was weaken a bbs today, TRIM. That's all you did. You put people's lives in danger. Sweet dreams, son.
TRIM: Don't call me son. I'm a lawyer, and a a moderator at goEMAW.COM, and you're under arrest you son of a bitch.
TRIM: The witness is excused.

On-screen "talent" for a series of geological educational videos. I had no rough ridin' idea what I was talking about...just read the teleprompter, wore pick axe and canteen smiled.

Painted houses for a lazy alcoholic that I only saw on fridays to get paid in cash. Basically ran our crew. started when we wanted to. finished when we wanted to. completely made up the quantity of hours worked right before getting paid every friday. It also paid much more than any job any of my friends at the time had.
Since the boss was an alchy, you could call in at like 11am and tell him you just woke up from a bender and he would totally laugh about it and completely understand.
The guy always told us that he liked to treat us great because some day he would be working for us.

What theater? Did the same at the one I worked at in HS. Also, I was in HS and my boss would pick up a 30 pack and we would get ripped and have our friends out after hours to drink/watch movies.

gameday parking lot attendant (east lot, south side) at the Bill, but pre-BSFS time. Never been happier while working. I helped so many people and would act silly a lot and do weird arm motions and poses because I was hilarious and people loved the cats and having a laugh or two before the game is totally ok at the happiest place on earth.

does "radio host" at 91.9 count? if it does, then doing "Just Two Guys" with Matt Seibrandt's Left Hand would be number 1.

Doing little and getting paid well is always a great gig. Doing nothing and getting paid well is even better.

Definitely my time as a runner at a law firm. I spent most of my time taking vehicles to the car wash, going to the grocery store or hitting on the clerks.

What is a runner?
-
I'm assuming it stands for errand runner. I was supposed to file motions at the county clerk's office and stuff like that. However, if I wasn't doing the three things I mentioned previously I was doing homework on the clock or going to lunch with the senior partner. It was a pretty sweet gig for a college kid. Most Fridays I got yelled at if I wasn't hungover/didn't have a story to tell the senior partner about the night before.

Let me be the 3rd person in this thread to say that bartending at Aggie Station is the best job I've ever had.

It was like touring several of Kansas's different geologial eras with one of your budies, who wore a sharp plaid shirt.
