While passing the communion/offering plates today, I leaned down to a hawk fan and  whispered in his ear, "Rock Chalk". He looked like he was going to throw up. Epic. Just epic.

Going to be hard to rub it in at my work.  All the ku fans are, like, "cheer for the state of kansas teams when they aren't playing KU" types.  They will probably be very sincere and congratulate me and stuff.  Makes me sick.

So far:

Abject racism against NI's guard
Claiming NI had game of their lives (not even close, shot below season average) and
Blaiming KSU fans in the crowd (not kidding)

Going to be great when the custodial staff comes in and starts crying in their mop buckets.

I've mainly heard a lot of the "Northern Iowa was ranked all year" talking point.  2nd to that would be the "refs were bad, particularly the first 6 minutes of the game" talking point.

The boss has been silent.  Usually he comes in every Morning and pushes the button on his musical chicken, so it it plays that annoying fight song.  I wonder if the batteries died, cuz I haven't heard it yet.

Very very quiet in my office. The Mizzou fans are badgering the ku fans every time they look up.  It's pretty sweet.

Of the ku fan(s) I've actually heard say anything...

1. Glad Sherron is finally gone.
2. If we would have actually played for just 10 minutes we would have won.
3. UNI is going to the final four.

Had a phone conversation with one. She is the same person who RIPPED my ass after the uk vs. ksu football games this year. I was nice and made no mention of it. However, there was dejection in her voice. I hope she could hear me fist pumping on the other end of the line.

We should have pressed the whole game.

Ali couldn't miss.  (actually only 4-10 from three, so yes, he could miss and did)

I didn't even watch the game.  I was busy helping underprivelaged children. (lie)

At least Mizzou lost.

This is great.  A KU fan who I work with, but, don't associate with for obvious reasons, had to go through the painful process of explaining to another lady at work how the tournament works.  One and done, no second chances, etc.

Then, after the explanation, the non KU fan says, "Oh, so, you must feel like I felt when the Colts lost".

Ku fan erupts with "It's nothing like that, this is my alma mater.  That's like comparing a paper cut to losing an arm!!"

Great times to be a Wildcat.

Purposely asked an emawer if he wanted to join the table reserved for sweet 16 members infront of bout 5 ku fans.

Was met with, " Ksu is still not the most talented team in Kansas"

I reply with, "talented enough to be one of the best 16 teams in the nation"

"Ku was the most talented team in the nation. BY FAR ! ! ! ! "

"Not talented enough to be one of the best 16 teams in the nation. Butler and Saint Mary's were though, fyi"

Its really too easy, yet it never gets old

That’s right. The refs called a fair game, which doesn’t always happen in conference play. No way Tyrel Reed would have been called for a charge with 26 seconds to play and Kansas trailing by four points in any Big 12 arena.

While watching one of my roommates play a video game (Northern Iowa vs. uk) I made the comment of "still bothering you isn't it?  Just have to take frustration out on the video game huh?"  Another kid in the room who had no part in this conversation throws in the typical "the last time you were in the sweet 16 you weren't born yet, and we went on to win the national title".  Typical cookie cutter response from a bandwagoner.

this really should be the focus for everybody. big12 refs are doing ku no favors in the long run. they're essentially training ku players to get calls that they won't get in the tournament. i'd be livid at all of the calls ku gets in the regular season if i were a ku fan.

I used to say this all the time, Jarrod Haase flopping his way through the tourney comes to mind.  Same thing happes to Duke too.  They are trained to flop/whine/tumble/cry and get the calls.  When Higgins isn't trailing the play with his arm already in the air, it gets tough for them and they fold like a bad poker hand.

Pulled up in the parking lot the same time as my boss yesterday. Had my KSU jacket on, all I did was wave at him and he said "Shut up."

Should have said more since he left a ku hoodie on my desk Friday morning, but I like my job. I was going to put a K-State hoodie on his desk but he didn't come in late like usual.

The key is to do it when he least expects it, so that it hurts that much more because of him letting his guard down.

I suggest sometime in May.

I was test driving this brand new fast car today on this road that has a very high speed limit and this KU fan was hitch hiking.  I sped up as fast as the car would go and ran him over.  Got back to the dealership and explained to the car salesman guy what happened and we both got a good laugh out of it then he invited me over to eff his playboy model wife.  I was like, sure what time, our game is at 8:30?
