But K-Staters are dominating the ticket sales, per poster on GPC.
-
Pretty obvious if you look at Stubhub. Actually considering buying on the Oregon side.
-
They are considering changing the stadium name from "University of Phoenix Stadium" to "BSFS -- The High Desert Venue."

I really hope k-staters are buying the eff out of these tickets. Would love to see a massive purple wave to show the Sugar Bowl in BCS bowl game terms how much they mumped up.

Hopefully our tv ratings are great. :crossfingers:

if the sugar bowl even does notice how much purple is packed into that stadium, that will happily forget when faced with the option of va tech or us.
-
After next year, the Sugar Bowl won't have any options, anyway. They will have to take the highest ranked Big 12 team vs the highest ranked SEC team, excluding playoff teams.
-
Rain Aggie claims "Economic Issues" and "been there done that"
I never knew Oregon was full of poors.

Their rich alumni are super-rich, but the rest of them are typical liberal arts grads.

ESPN has been pimping this game pretty hard from everything I've seen. Holtz, Palmer, and (especially) Pollock were gushing about the game.

Every watch twilight? They give coal aggie a run for there money.

I don't think there's any doubt they will be. Other than the national championship game, this is a super match-up with great stories.

The Fiesta Bowl will have better TV ratings than every bowl game this year outside of Alabama/Notre Dame. The Orange, Rose and Sugar are all :flush:. The Cotton Bowl is the only one that might come close to our game.

K-State just told me it's secured an ADDITIONAL 1,000 upper level tickets to satisfy the "greatest student body in the country."
Calling it, 80 to 90 percent of the stadium shaped liked a coiled snake will be purple. :ksu:
-
I'm in section 122, so count one purple seat not in our allotment.

Both universities have been allotted 17,500 tickets for the Fiesta Bowl, said Craig Pintens, UO athletics director of marketing and public relations. Kansas State requested an additional 4,000 tickets, while Oregon did not.
Tickets went on sale to the public online Monday evening at 7 p.m., after priority sales to season ticket holders and Duck Athletic Fund contributors closed at 5 p.m.
As of Tuesday evening, there were still thousands of tickets left, Pintens said.
Kansas State, however, has sold out all of its tickets, even though it never opened sales to the public, Pintens said.

If StubHub is getting expensive you can just hop in with their tickets that are available to the public
-
I'm in 124, Row 3. There are still some tickets left on eBay from that section/row for decent prices. Should be a great spot for tunnel pictures and those Optimus Klein runs to the outside or the fade away to Harper.

garbage fanbase in Eugene
-
What a bunch of poors
-
Remember in Band of Brothers when that one Nazi guy is from Eugene, OR, but his family decided to go back to Germany to be all Nazi and stuff? :sdeek:
-
What a bunch of poors
They are all worried about refunds to a conference title game they didn't even make it to
-
man. we're pretty great and they aren't. that's cool.
-
we are a bunch of studs. they are a bunch of poors.
-
I'll be in a suite. Hope they can see my purple from there. #fanningbrag :gocho:
-
The excuses on their SBnation site were great. "We're a small state in a struggling economy, leave us alone!" "While our bandwagon fans have gotten larger across the country, our actual fanbase is terribly small" "Would YOU go back to the site of the holocaust?" (wut)

Only plausible Oregon excuse would be that this is their 3rd or 4th BCS bowl in a row so their fans just aren't that excited or already blew all their cash in previous years
-
Oregon fans are just pissed that they're not in the BCS championship game. Not much enthusiasm left after that Stanford loss.

Well we're not happy about missing out on it either, but we still have pride in our school. What a crap fanbase.

Except that the championship game in this pud conference is hosted at the higher seeds campus.

You guys just live in a shitty state, where people are begging for any excuse to get away for a vacation. Why do you think Nebraska fans travel so well?

Where would be the cheapest place to get tickets for the Fiesta Bowl? My wife and I are on a fixed income and need to economize as best we can.
Wish I could go. Game is on a work Thursday. Makes it difficult if not impossible for many to go.
And of course, after much football related spending over the past few years including bowl games and increases in ticket prices, I'm Ok with taking a break this year.

They don't. They've only sold 3500 tickets for the capital one bowl. K-State has a record for most amount of fans traveling across state lines. If you don't think there's a loyalty there, you're kidding yourself.
-
Remember in Band of Brothers when that one sysboner guy is from Eugene, OR, but his family decided to go back to Germany to be all sysboner and stuff? :sdeek:
thanks to Mocat i now understand what sysboner means.
-
Since none of you have said it, I'll come out and say it. Quack fans aren't going to the Fiesta Bowl because getting blown out sucks. They don't want to spend the money to have to witness their team get curb stomped.

K-State hasn't had much success historically, so when they do have success, everyone hops on the bandwagon. That's not loyalty. That's opportunity. As for the state lines thing, I'll need a link.

I would love to be Beems brain for just one day. The way KU fans self talk to themselves about how pud K-State is, is a real treat.
@FiestaBowl: Per @kstatesports The largest crowd to cross state lines for a college football game was#KSU for their 1997 #FiestaBowl win vs Syracuse.

Oregon's bowl history is very similar to KSU.

we do well against left wing liberal, communist schools, easy win

-
oregon is for the poors, i've always said that
-
Maybe Nike can move their offshore production back to Oregon, sounds like the labor might be cheaper
-
Not sure I'd travel to see a loser ass team that didn't even make its conf champy game either. Especially if I were a poor loser from a crappy school.
-
e-mail today said basically that the 1000 student ticket allotment sold out in 1 day (only available to ICAT) and they got 850 more for tomorrow.
these ducks aren't going to know what hit 'em. :ksu:

Isn't it a state filled with people that were too dumb to make a living in the east so they ran as far away from smart, successful people, as they could?
Being surprised Oregon is filled with poors is like being shocked there's criminals in Australia. :dunno:
-
The only people with money in Oregon make it in sweatshops. No creative types there, just people in manufacturing that take advantage of child labor.
-
Remember in Band of Brothers when that one Nazi guy is from Eugene, OR, but his family decided to go back to Germany to be all Nazi and stuff? :sdeek:
Willie should do a Captain Speirs skit during pregame and mow down a bunch of punk Oregon kids in yellow t-shirts with a Tommy gun.

So, our AD has more found more tickets. Damn are any Oregon Ducks fans going to show? Should we organize some sympathy fans so it does not break the Oregon Ducks player's hearts.
-
Why isn't Phil Knight buying their tickets and giving them away? :curse:
-
Why isn't Phil Knight buying their tickets and giving them away? :curse:
The least he could do is buy tickets for all the families who had love ones die in those sweatshop fires this year.
-

what is this the 3rd or 4th, "hey we found some more tickets in the shed of our former AD's back yard' email
-
Fiesta Bowl keeps giving us tickets to sell because for whatever reason there haven't been many people buying them directly from them and we continue to sell out of the tickets we get.
-
How many wild wild cat fans are going to be there? 30,000? 35?
-
So Oregon basically has us on speed dial at this point.
"Quick call K-State again, we didn't sell one ticket today!"
"Hey K-State, I know we just called yesterday but....."
"Sure, we'll take them"
"One other thing, don't tell any....."
"Don't worry, we'll just play it off like we found them under a couch cushion or something"
-
I bet we get like 30-40k. Tickets are uber cheap compared to the cotton bowl last year and we had a great crowd for that. The travel is obviously much more problematic for the fiesta vs the cotton but I bet people figure it out. Tucks love road trips.
-
How many wild wild cat fans are going to be there? 30,000? 35?
I thought the last number from K-State was 22.5. I think there have been 2 new batches of tickets released, and I don't know the size of those groups.
-
22K plus another 3K plus however many people who didn't preorder.
Has to be easily over 30K pushing 35K.
