my high school, like nyu, was very rich so we all had school-provided macbooks('02-'06), which enabled us to have massive listservs. because it was high school the crap talking never stopped and it wasn't unusual to receive 200 emails in a single class. very, very fun.

....now that i think about it, a bbs would have been a lot more efficient.

They always tell us at work to use this bbs they set up when trying to sell something or w/e instead of emailing the listserv, but nobody bbs's! NOBODY!

Had a similar problem happen my freshman year with the r/texas listserv.

Woman who was in charge of it sent out an email asking for availability. I read it and then left for class. 3 hours later I have 30 new messages, all of them responses to the original e-mail. Pretty funny because one guy was getting more and more pissed off and calling people jackasses.
