IMO, the league will be between OSU, TCU, and UT.  We have a nice schedule, should be able to get to 7 wins.  Defense and WR’s will be our issue.  Might look like '09, sans everyone hating the QB.

For a team that will run the ball ever more next year, our 1-2 WR punch is actually pretty good.

It’s the whole defense, though the DL is the worst of the bunch.

DB:  Chapman, Malone, Milo
DL:  Davis, Meshak, Lutui, Sua, Boyd
LB:  Brown, Childs

I mean, I don’t even.

OK.  Here goes (I can’t believe I’m doing this, so don’t tell anyone):

DB: we return Zims and Evans.  Barnett struggled, however he’s going to get some good PT and beat out Fergie (who’s a senior).  Kip Daily has gotten some experience in as well.

DL:  Britz has been a nice surprise. Mueller will be back.  Akinola, Reed, and Hollingshed will make an impact next year.  As will Demonte Hood.  Toss in Xavier Gates and we might have a nice DL that just needs some puds in the OOC to get some experience under their belts.

LB:  Tre will be back.  Slaughter redshirted, and Snyds has raved (in a Snyds way) about Mike Moore.

Overall – I mean, who was Jared Milo before this year?  Snyds should have worked for a diamond company.  We’ll also probably get some impact juco players.  Baylor, ISU, KU, OU, WVU, and TT will all have new QB’s next year.

That’s all I got.

It really could be one of the pud-iest years for Big XII quarterbacks.  Who will be the best returning starter?  That addict at TCU?  The Ok St kid who gets injured all the time?  Which ever Texas quarterback they decide to start?  Woofy woof woof.

I don't think he beat out Fergie, I think Fergie was hurt too.  I could be wrong on this, but I don't think I saw Fergie the entire Baylor game.  Hard time believing the senior who replaced Zimmerman in the TCU game doesn't play at all the next week behind a freshman unless he's hurt.

The future of our defense: there was a reason none of these guys were redshirted (Talent, leadership and necessity for 2013) they will all start.
Barnett (played well for the situations, showed a lot of ability)
Burns
Moore
Britz

Believe the future is bright, Bill hasn't had chance to get 4 year players on defense except Tre and Zimmerman, building depth should become enhancing easier on D.

Fox is trying to spend the money to get good content.  They also already have content they can put on it that NBC and CBS can't put on their channel.  All those games on FSN and F/X can be put there.  They probably won't put a small dent in ESPN, but it will be much better than the NBC and CBS sports channels.

Oh yeah, 2018 World Cup with Gus.  All the games they put on ESPN now will be on this channel.

Yea, Fox has access to better sports to show.  More college basketball/football and NFL stuff.  Could probably do a lot more with baseball and soccer though soccer could be cannibalizing their soccer channel.

From Currie's email:

"First, it has been our strong preference to play our season-opening game in the evening to avoid the daytime heat. However, there is significant TV interest in this matchup against North Dakota State, two-time defending FCS national champion and owner of victories over KU, Minnesota and Colorado State in the past three seasons."

Never miss an opportunity.

I remember the Nebraska game as a student. Got done with class and just walked over to the tailgates. Smart ones packed beers in their backpacks for the walk over. Dumb ones bummed brews off the smart ones.

All in all, what better way to get through a school day than by knowing that in a few short hours your going to be goin all  :emawkid: with 50,000+ of your closest friends and family. And then you get to sleep in the next day and dont have to worry about feeling bad for missing church because you're too hungover from celebrating the win (unless you go on Saturdays?).

Suck it up students. Campus is dead Friday afternoon anyways.

Now us working people here have every right to be pissed for having to take one of our hard earned days off work to make it to the game.

I would guess all the FX games and couple of the better FSN games will now be on FS1 and only true tier 3 games will be on the FSNs as KSU, OU, OSU, TT and Baylor have all signed tier 3 deals with Fox.

Not worth getting excited about.  :bill: will make sure that any game against a 1AA team features an incredibly boring and vanilla game plan.  We'll see the same five plays on offense and Sams won't be allowed to do anything really fun.

It won't matter. It doesn't get any more vanilla than the snaps Sams took against Missouri State, and they could do absolutely nothing to stop him. I don't expect NDSU to get better results.

Well, yeah, we are playing an FCS school. The point is that you get to sit back and watch the Cats in crystal clear HD on a nationally televised broadcast when the alternative would be paying to watch a grainy feed on K-State HD.

A 7 on 7 drill is just a pure passing drill. There really is no threat to run the ball, which takes away the enormous advantage that having Sams on the field instead of Waters presents. Receiver progression is not as important when you are a threat to take it to the house on any passing play. If the safeties have to respect the run, they are easier to beat over the top.

To be fair, we don't really know what Waters' running ability is like.  Definitely not as good as Sams, but as long as he is more mobile than Peyton Manning I don't think the difference in how they run will be that much of a factor in determining a starter.

Lots of guys can be 7 on 7 heros and not be able to play, so take all of that with a grain of salt.

The key for Sams will be development/ability to hit intermediate and deep throws in addition to what we already know he can do running the football. The key for Waters will be as a legitimate threat running the ball, and that is if the winter ball 7 on 7 tales are indeed true.

Either way, we all need to wait until they both get the pads on and get to really compete in spring practice.

vs. Miami- W, jet lagged weary eyed felons fall flat we win a boring afair
vs. N.Texas- W, by 40
@ OU- W, finally, catfans tear down the uprights and drag them up I35 then abandon them in bricktown
vs. KU- W, by 60
@ISU- W, but get the crap scared out of us
@WVU- W, Big East blows
vs. TTU- W, but they rush for 200 yards and everyone says we've been exposed
vs. OSU- W, no +50 TO margin for these wannabes this year
@ TCU- W, not even sure who this is, 1-AA?
@ Baylor- W, back to Baysics
vs. Texas- W, like clockwork

Finish 5th in the new BCS marketing scheme behind two one loss teams, crush 7-5 Oregon State in the Alamo

I revised my 2011 prediction.  Cherry picking is gonna cost you your cred.
