What do you make of the poor showing of KU fans at the Sprint Center last night? Still in football mode?

Rustin Dodd:
Well played...

ESPN article called it Allen Fieldhouse West so they prob were halfway to Manhattan before the game and realized their error.

Rustin, when will KU stop ducking Wichita State and finally agree to play the Shockers in a home and home deal?

Rustin Dodd:
That is a fair question. KU is playing a home-and-home with San Diego State, a program that's probably had more success than Wichita State... but not by much. Two reasons why KU won't do it, though. One: They have nothing to gain by beating Wichita State. Two: Non-conference road games are precious, and KU would probably prefer to go to another market. ...

Rustin Dodd:
But with Ellis and Frankamp on the roster for the next couple years, they'd be smart to take a trip down south.

Don't you think it is a shame to move the track from Memorial Stadium? What about the tradition of the Kansas Relays? What kind of impact will this have on the track program? Is Jim Ryan on board with this?

Rustin Dodd:
I may show my generation here, but the Kansas Relays have been losing steam for years. It's all still in the planning stages, but from what I've heard, KU will eventually build a new track facility somewhere in Lawrence. (Likely on the west side of town.) Will it hurt the track program? That remains to be seen. But I think a straw poll of KU fans would find overwhelming support for removing the track.

Yes, one of the largest and richest high schools in Texas is def a good comparo.  Their rough ridin' marching band has like 700 people and I am not making this up.

I guess it's a Texas thing? I grew up in Texas in one of the largest HS's in the state, and the marching band had about 400 in it.
