what the eff is going on? it is terrible. Everyone tried to rationalize it against TCU by saying we were being conservative. We were held to 360 yards by a defense that normally allows 519 yards/game. Klein looks bad and so does the offensive line.

Your posting caused this.

You are hurting Nicki Minaj's record sales by association.

Our best player has spaghetti brains, this is not good.

that doesn't explain why our offensive line got dominated by phil bennett and the worst defense in the big 12.

Yes, actually it does.

It's been bad since Klein got hurt against OSU.

brains
Hopefully Tyler wasn't hurt worse by those couple plays he ran in that crap game.
-
It didn't help that Lockett was hurt and Sexton was out. When your #2 receiver is dinged and #4 is out it changes a lot of things in your passing game. Which really just makes it more baffling to me that we gave up on the run so quickly.
-
I'm not sold that Klein's brains are the sole source of our problems on offense. If they are, i hope they get better over the next 2 weeks, although they probably won't.

I'll just give my impression that isn't supported by actual numbers:
- we haven't been able to run on first down as well as we'd like. And in general, we haven't been able to run Hubert at anyone (if you remember, against OU we ran John right at them). We had some trouble against TT on first down in our first few series and it stalled some drives - however in the 2nd half of the TT game, we came out swinging and most importantly connecting on 1st down through the pass and then it opened up the QB run game, specifically on 1st down.
- Teams are throwing all kinds of crap at us. OSU was zone blitzing and throwing all kinds of different fronts and coverages at KSU. And our tackles have had some problems with speed rushes.
- We have been out physicalled at the LOS. TCU absolutely owned us upfront. and again, our tackles had all kinds of issues with their ends.
- CK has made some awful reads on the zone read option. Particularly against TCU and specifically the one where they let the nose/dt come free.
I think, overall, we haven't been able to run well since/including OSU. Quite honestly, I don't think Klein has ran quite as hard/smart/whatever the hell you want to call it, since TT. All our stuff is on film and we probably need to do a better self scout in the bye week because we are becoming too predictable in what and when we run certain plays. I dunno.

Bill needs to go back to an all run package out of the wildcat like we occasionally used in the early 2000's.
double TE's multiple FB's and the RB taking the snap out of the wildcat.
LOS gets clogged up but it's usually good for 3-4 yards.

I don't recall bill running any wildcat in the early 2000's. Am I crazy?

Our running game has looked way off and very slow developing. I agree that we have been somewhat predictable.

It was ran with bishop or roberson ( so I guess it's not a true wildcat but it was a designed QB run with 2 FB's) usually hitting the hole between the tackle and TE.

I may be off here, but I think this is what Collin does 70% of the time he runs the ball

There is a play where braden and Pease are used as FB's but we haven't used it since the OSU game and I only remember it being used once. When it's a designed QB run it's generally just braden ahead of him and they run between the guard and the center.
This is what i'm talking about:
