Title: Osprey Adv Stats (OR% clinic)
Post by: kso_FAN on November 18, 2012, 05:05:23 PM
1st   Pace   PPP   eFG%   TO%   OR%   FTR
KSU   32   1.25   42.2%   28.2%   59.1%   56.3%
Opp   32   0.81   37.5%   12.5%   31.6%   25.0%

2nd   Pace   PPP   eFG%   TO%   OR%   FTR
KSU   35   0.98   38.2%   20.1%   64.0%   35.3%
Opp   35   0.83   46.3%   46.0%   36.8%   29.6%

Total   Pace   PPP   eFG%   TO%   OR%   FTR
KSU   67   1.10   40.2%   23.8%   61.7%   45.5%
Opp   67   0.82   41.8%   29.8%   34.2%   27.3%

2nd highest OR% since 03. The only game better than today was also against the Ospreys, in 2010. This team is continuing to dominate JYC stats (against bad competition so far), with excellent numbers in opponent's eFG%, opponent's TO%, and of course OR%.

Shooting still a concern and you can definitely see the difference in Bruceketball OOC substitution philosophy; play everyone. It makes some sense with seeing what new guys can do, but it also seems oscar really wants to see everyone who might play this year on the floor. McGruds leads the team averaging 24 minutes a game, and 11 players average at least 14 minutes per game. I have to believer oscar will tighten that down soon, for certain when we play a good opponent next Friday.

Good breakdown _FAN.

I agree that he will use a smaller rotation against better competition. Outside shooting has been particularly bad. I think that's quite concerning.
