Title: Oregon v. Stanford
Post by: Belvis Noland on November 16, 2012, 02:03:52 PM
So, we're rooting for Oregon right?

i mean, 1-loss Bama will jump undefeated ND, no?  As I'd rather not play Bama, guess we need Oregon to stay undefeated.

I'm rooting for Stanford. I would rather face Notre Dame than anybody else, and no one loss team is going to jump them.

I want to face Oregon because them being 54 hours away from Miami will help drive down ticket costs and let the stadium be 60/40 purple or even 75/25.

Could you imagine?

This.  Alabama would NOT jump an undefeated Notre Dame...even if they keep barely winning.

Undefeated > anything else (assuming the team doesn't play in the Big East)

Oregon is banged up on D-Line.  Really gives Stanford a chance if they can limit Oregon's possessions and get a couple stops.

which is scary, ND is going down to USC.  I don't want bama.

Yeah the spread is absurdly high. Unreal amounts of high spread going on here folks.

Love the purple jerseys, especially at night. Guaranteed to wear them if it's KSU vs. ND

hoping stanford beats oregon. i actually fear oregon more then notre dame, alabama or georgia. although after usc put so many yards/points on them not as much. maybe after they play stanford, oregon state and pac12 champ game they will seem more mortal since those are actually solid teams. would love for oregon to go down and notre dame win its last two and face them in the championship game. i think notre dame are frauds.

We have a better shot against Oregon than Notre dame IMO.  But I dunno maybe not, I just think Klein would struggle to run against them.

At least if we get Oregon, people will think that we beat good competition. If we beat ND, people will say we had the easiest path to the NC ever. I guess it doesn't matter. Just don't want to hear pathetic excuses explaining why we weren't the best team in the nation.

Just saw that the highest ranked defense that Oregon has face is 36th.

Yeah, I will laugh in their face too hard to even mention running the table in the big12.

KU fans don't care about their easy tournament paths, don't see why we should care about getting the easiest possible title game opponent

Miami got Nebraska in 2001. It doesn't get easier than that.

I hadn't thought of Bama jumping ND. Hmmm, tough. I still think Bama is the toughest of the 3.

Stanford doesn't have an offense outside of give it to their RB. Oregon will shut them down a couple of times and that'll be enough.
