Man, his jumper looked really good tonight. Hopefully he can shoot half that well during Big 12 play :emawkid:
-
yup. he looked good. very very good
-
Liked the goat.
-
Yeah the jumper was wet, don't think he will have many more opportunities to shoot it over a roster full of 5'8" guards though
-
yea because shane shoots from his waist and has a super slow release
-
Yes because those are the only reasons for poor shooting
Yes because tonight wasn't at all a career outlier against the worst opponent he's seen
-
if Shane can hit wide open 3s :dunno:
-
outlier
-
outlier
Outlier, or the fact he wasn't worried about his head being bashed in if he missed a shot? :dunno:
-
or he just has a better jumper because he's a year older :dunno:
i know he's not going to go 4/5 every game but if he has to occupy a defender because he isn't a non-threat than it opens up the offense when he's in there.

weber knows how to motivate his players to do well, frank knows how to punish his players to not do bad. there is a big difference, just research it.
shane, the superstar, southwell, is proof.
-
I don't expect him to light it up over better defense in Big 12 play but for gods sake last year there was no way he was going to take 8 shots against any opponent. If he's open I expect him to shoot it, and that's why I was pleased last night.
-
I expect him to be an efficient halfcourt basketball, someone you can't cheat off defensively, Shane should be able to knock down open jumpers and this should open up the rest of his game.
-
Shane will shoot something Like 32% from 3 this year.
-

Of course he's a better offensively, what's that have to do whether or not last night was an outlier or not?
-
he made his open shots! seems like a good thing to me :D

True this. IMHO, it's wait and see with Shane, and hoping he lights it up consistently.

16 for 33 this season, a full 10% higher than the next guy on the team.
