Title: Snyder's gonna milk this Klein injury for all it's worth
Post by: ZmoneyKSU on November 04, 2012, 07:16:56 AM
Make TCU prepare for Klein and Sams, make the media go crazy over whether Klein will start or not. Lol, will he even toy with the team on whether he plays Klein?  Should be an interesting week as it unfolds.

Klein needs to milk this as well for Heisman votes.  Play up how bad it was, how he fought so hard to come back, he was nervous he might not make it etc., then torch TCU.

If McCarron can find a camera and cry in front of it while the rest of his team is up and cheering for a defense holding on for life, Klein can exagerate an injury.

We'll find out in a few weeks that: "CK did not even practice the week before playing TCU."
It will be a great story line for the voters.

we needed this shake up

Things were going too smooth this season and this is the wake up the team needs before their road tests.

Snyder is a genius.  A master motivator.

Whatever.  It will probably take Gary about 10 minutes of practice time to prep for Sams.  "hey, guys, he's going to run a QB draw about 90% of the time, then 1% a pop to the tight end, and another 2% 5yard outs to the WR, and the remaining 7% they'll be in wildcat because Sams is f'ing hurt."

I like Sams, but OSU's 3rd string QB looked better and their coaching staff had more confidence in him than ours did with Sams.

All Bill did was create drama and distractions for his team.  If he would have left CK in for another series or two (it was 38-20 when he left), we are probably up 52-23 or something and it's probably in the 4th QTR and then you can quietly pull CK.  His "injury" or whatever wasn't bad enough that he couldn't march the rough ridin' team down the field like 90 yards for a score.

LoL yeah we were up 21 but should have just chucked it all over the place to show we are more confident in SAMs then OSU is in their third string guy.  OSU's third team guy also looked better then their starter and is actually pretty experienced.  if Gundy would have given that kid the starting job this year they may have came into this game unbeaten.

Talked to an athletic training instructor this morning.  He said that if Collin doesn't clear his ImPACT (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing) today they won't let him play on Saturday.  An athlete must show no signs of cognitive loss 5 days prior to competition.  Bill may honestly not know the results of the testing at the time he was asked about this.

Is this speculative, like he is just sharing his HImPACTIQ just in case CK has a concussion, or is he saying this is what is actually happening.

I would think that qualifies.  I don't the whole ImPACT procedures myself.  The instructor did say that "they" can tell when the results of an ImPACT are faked, but I don't even know who "they" are.  Some medical board?  :dunno:

Considering the instructor started the conversation with "Is Collin concussed?", he was just relaying what schools do for concussions these days.  He then went on about some of the humorous stuff doctors would do for concussed players back in the mid-20th century.

Guys what if just for giggles Bill trots out old Sam Johnson for the first series just to screw with TCU?  And then the 2nd series Sams comes in.  Then the 3rd series It's Klein and we like score with all three?   :bill:  :sdeek:  :bill:

I am hearing that Currie won't let Snyder play Klein, though Klein cleared post-concussion tests

I refuse to believe that.
I've heard that Kline will have to make up the suspension for concussion during the MNC game. We need Bosco on this, fast.

What if he shows no signs 6 days prior?

I would think that qualifies.  I don't the whole ImPACT procedures myself.  The instructor did say that "they" can tell when the results of an ImPACT are faked, but I don't even know who "they" are.  Some medical board? :dunno:
sounds like a death panel type of deal.  t's and p's optimus.

Bill is the one that wears the headset in this relationship.  I have a hard time believing that "at this particular point in time" in his life, LHCBS would really give a crap what Currie says.

Look folks. You just can't risk starting a horse that's injured when you consider how much they can make at stud. We will have Spanikleindales all over the roster in about 20 years. Don't risk that.

John Currie is building for the future.
