Title: Here's what I see happened today
Post by: Super PurpleCat on November 03, 2012, 11:47:35 PM
ND: Had to pull out a 2OT win against an unranked 4-5 Big East at home to stay alive.
Oregon: Scored a lot sure but in their first game against a Top 25 in like forever they let USC score over 50 on them.
Bama: Showed everyone that they're not going to be beating any NFL teams anytime soon.  Sounds like 2003 OU to me.  And we know how that ended up.  They look very vulnerable right now and they're just getting into the hard part of their season.

and KSU: pulled their Heisman frontrunner QB in the middle of the 3rd quarter and still won by 2 scores against the #3 team in the conference.

Please save your 1998 boohoo crap for someone else.  I'm through thinking about that rough ridin' season.

It's like a big purple hug for everyone. We needed that, SPC.

But do we gain or lose any ground on Oregon in the human polls?

Probably lose, I can see the ducks getting #1 votes and the "KState is in trouble with CK injured" talking point is already in full swing.

Yeah, I didn't like the headline of the ESPN write up: Klein injured, Wildcats hold off Pokes. CKs just fine.

Know what really grinds my gears?  Notre Dame is going to get credit for barely beating a shitty Big East team at home.  Where was all this love for pulling out close games we had no business winning when we were doing it last season?   All I remember is criticism about how we would lose 9/10 times and it was all just luck...but Notre Dame does the same crap and it goes from lucky fluke wins to being a stud team that can pull out close wins and snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.  Too bad the Irish aren't subjected to the same criticism we received last year for playing close games...

they kind of are though. may critiqued them and said it will cost them last night in final.  And there was a lot more talk about it until they beat Standford/Oklahoma, because those were the teams that were "going to make them pay for it."  Had we not gotten pasted by OU last year and won, it would have been similar.

With the ND performance hard to see how they would pull ahead of us even is they piss pound USC
Bama players were crying after the came.  It was their superbowl.  I think they were confused as to why there wasn't a trophy presentation after the game.  A&M may pay off their 98 blood debt next week
Oregon has no D.  I can't imagine what we would do to that D with a month to prepare.
