I bet the kicker was Jared Brite.
Manhatten
Well I got $125/seat for the Tech game so I figured since you guys are Top 5 that the tickets will fetch around the same price. Maybe not. We'll see.
By the way, I know I'm not alone when I say that most TCU fans respect & pull for KSU. What Snyder has been able to do is a thing of beauty.
I was at the KSU vs. KU game in 1993 or 1994 in Manhatten and that was one fun game!
I don't have the tickets in front of me so I don't have the exact section. I'm pretty sure it's 312.i wil consider if you agree to include a Nizza Pizza lunch into the asking price.
What have you seen 300 level tickets going for?
I just checked Stubhub and 300 level prices start at $150 and go WAY up from there.
I can appreciate frugality but good luck finding a decent seat for this game for less than $125.

Tickets are still for sale. Now just $100 each. Let me know.
Thanks,

Blake, how about $96/ticket, plus you throw in a 2 beers/ticket?

Since TCU remodeled our stadium, there are far fewer tickets available to away fans. Capacity stayed at about 42,000 seats after the remodel but TCU season ticket sales went from 18k up to over 30k in the last 2 or 3 years since we won the Rose Bowl and got the Big 12 invite.
Away teams get their allotment of about 4k, current TCU students and employees get alloted about 6k so that only leaves a few tickets available to the general public and most of those are standing room only. It's not a huge stadium but it's very, very nice. In fact, I haven't been to a nicer college stadium yet and I've been to K State, Clemson, Nebraska, Texas A&M, Texas, Okie State, SMU, Boise State, Rose Bowl, Fiesta Bowl etc.
Ya'll come down to Ft. Worth for some good bbq, steaks and some damn good football!
trim- do you have more free tickets? i think i'm going. also how many are in your group. i might have something better than watching at a bar before going to the stadium.
billupsfrog- what are the SRO tickets like. decent place to stand or would they be horrible?
Also, sorry to hear about Klein. Seems like a great kid and we all know what an awesome football player he is! If he doesn't play, I like our chances to upset you guys, but I think I'd rather get you guys at full strength. That way, if we win, we beat you at your best, no excuses.(https://goemaw.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.bleacherreport.net%2Fimg%2Farticle%2Fmedia_slots%2Fphotos%2F000%2F601%2F152%2Fhi-res-6716532_crop_exact.jpg%3Fw%3D650%26amp%3Bh%3D440%26amp%3Bq%3D85&hash=229a414ec4785024bf592561f2d781b4141f0ad3)
Does K-State still have that awesome Golf Course Management program? I almost transferred there and was gonna study that.

Waiting to hear back. I think my guy bought 6 thinking we'd use them all, but there's 3 of us going from KS and the Dallas guy may already have his tickets/plans lined up. Looks like fanning and bookie pimp may each have an extra ticket too.
I got 8 tickets for $60/ea. :dubious:

Good luck thinking you can buy a $68.00 standing room only ticket from Stubhub and trying to sit somewhere.
This year things at Amon Carter Stadium are very different. In years past you could essentially sit wherever there was an empty seat.
Not anymore! The event staff people are nazi's this year and check tickets at every section to make sure fans sit in the correct seat. There is an event staff member at every single section.
This game will be completely sold out. The party deck in the south end zone is nice, but there are no seats and only the first two or three rows of standing people actually get to see the game.

Actually they do sell beer in the club seats but those were over $1000 a piece for the season.

Interesting that my attempt to sell tickets turns into you guys bashing my university, my town, my stadium and a few of your guys "trolling" me on my phone.
We have no negative history with K-State. I'm wondering why you guys treat a fellow conference mate this way. I've been nothing but a gentleman and have even repeatedly complimented K-State. I was even cordial to the guys who harassed me on my personal phone.

The natives weren't one bit happy with BillupsFrog about trying to sell tickets to K-State fans.
1. Everything in the South End Zone is general admission. That encompasses sections 129 through 137. Some of the StubHub South End Zone tickets get oddly specific and might say something like, "Row J" or whatever. Disregard that. It's all General Admission. If you get these, plan to get into the stadium when the gates open.
SkinnyBenny, relax.

why would someone sitting in south end zone GA have to get into the stadium when the gates open?

To get front row seats with your bros so you can all give adorable chin rubs to TLBL when he takes one to the house. :D
But also because I read an article a while back about them overselling it (at least at the beginning of the season) and people getting relegated to SRO and I don't want that to happen to any goEMAW'rs.
RD just "meh'ed" giving TLBL a chin rub! What is wrong with you? Have you gone madder??

I've been watching both StubHub and the DFW Craig's List like crazy. The amount of tickets for sale on StubHub is slowly but steadily climbing; there are 832 tickets for sale right now, cheapest being SRO tickets for $56, which is way cheaper than they were yesterday. I predict the amount of tickets for sale will keep increasing, which will likely cause the price tags to decrease (supply and demand, bitches!). Craig's List has been a little slow in the last few days but has also kind of blown up today. Most of the people selling them are dealers, which is shady and kind of expensive, but I am seeing the occasional suburban dad whose kids have a soccer game or whatever, and I also expect these to increase. I contacted a lady who has four upper deck tickets together with actual assigned seats (way better than GA/SRO) for like $50/apiece. She also has a parking pass for $40.
In watching it very closely for the last few days I saw 4 actual seats come available in Section 410, row V for $55/apiece + about $5 service download charge from StubHub. Pounced on them almost immediately and am pretty satisfied.
If you still need tickets, just do what I do. Download the StubHub app and watch it like crazy for the next 12-24 hours or so, and make your decision based on that. If you're thinking of going and just taking a chance on scalped tickets, I'd say it'll probably be fine and maybe even better. I just didn't want to do that because the peace of mind on that 9-hour drive is worth it to me, plus I can tailgate until right up to the game now with my buds.

fyi
Just picked up a pair for $95 a piece on Stubhub, section 118, row g. s/b corner endzone just below the main KState seats. Would have like seats more in the middle of the stadium, but also cool to be with the main KSTATE group. And as mentioned above, I bet tix will be even cheaper tomorrow, but just liked the seats and pulled the trigger now have piece of mind.
now just need to figure out where to park.
Anyone know how many KSU fans are expected to be at the game?
TCU fan here.

What do you think the chances are of buying tickets for $60ish on game day for anything that isn't GA or SRO? Thanks.

I would say around 25-50%. It really all depends how many fans KState brings.
I doubt you will get any seats in the bottom deck (except possibly in the north endzone) as one side is pretty much all students, the other side is all donor seats, and the other endzone is GA. There are usually quite a few of the upper deck seats being sold. The best place to usually find "scalpers" is along Cantey between Univesity and Stadium and along Stadium between Canty and Berry. Those seem to be the places with the most "scalpers" as opposed to fans just looking to unload tickets.
You have to remember that this is the highest ranked team coming to play in Fort Worth since 1970. TCU fans are really excited because this is the biggest home game in decades (per the rankings) and KState fans are excited because KSU is on the way to an undefeated season. I would normally say you could find tickets at this range, but I would say odds are against finding any at that price.
What do I know though. Let me know if you have any questions.

Yeah, TCU is in the middle of a stretch of games against OSU, WVU, KSU, UT, and OU. TCU fans used to be excited to play one team of that caliber in a season and now we are playing 5 in a row. TCU fans are excited to be bowl eligible at this point, so anything else this season is gravy. Knocking off a KSU, UT, or OU in our opening season of the Big XII would be huge for the perception of our program. Most fans expected the OU game to be the best home game of the season. Now that it is KSU, the fans are psyched for this game.

I want to say there are 5,500 seats first come first serve. Any others get in but have to stand. My only disagreement is I think the atmosphere will be more like Utah 2009 minus college gameday and a slightly smaller crowd. The entire student body is 9K. Every student gets season tickets as part of tuition, so in theory it should be around 9K. However, the school anticipates some people not going, so i would say it is about 6K-7K.

TCU fan here. There has been some pretty good advice here on the parking situation, but thought I would give you a few more options.
There is a Paschall High School at the corner of Berry st. and Forest Park that is about a mile away from the stadium. I think parking is like 5 or 10 dollars. They provide a shuttle that lets off directly in front of the stadium and another shuttle that will take you back after the game.
The baseball lot at the corner of Bellaire Dr. W and Bellaire Dr. N is $10 and fills up pretty quickly. I usually tailgate in this lot, and there has been a lot of visiting fans in this area tailgating and mixing it up with TCU fans this year. Not that far of a walk to the stadium from here (.25-.5 mile walk).
The University Christian Church at the corner of Canty and University usually has spots for about $20. This is on the edge of campus and a close walk to the stadium.
If you are a cheapskate like me, you can park in pretty much any of the neighborhood streets around campus. If the weather is not that bad I will park on the East side of campus just passed the business school on Sandage or Merida and walk through the entirety of campus. If you want to save money, and do not mind a .5-1 mile walk, this is not a bad choice at all.
There is a "young" alumni parking lot (lot 4) for tailgating which is where the big tailgate parties for college age through early 30s.
Anyway, hope you guys have a great trip.

I still can't figure out what we have. The guy who bought 6 said he sold 2 of them. I don't know if he saved 4 because he knows 4 of us are using them, or if he accounted for the Dallas guy having some, or what. They're not good with the words in emails. I feel like we're going to end up with at least 1, but I don't want you driving there solely based on that.
Contrary to skinny benny's meltdown, I don't think it'll be tough to get them there.

The TCU guy I bought my tickets from recommended this lot for tailgating on Saturday. Any idea how early would I need to get there to make sure I have a spot to tailgate?
