Title: Big "when" questions for Saturday...
Post by: kso_FAN on November 01, 2012, 08:42:13 AM
Let's be real Cat fans, there are lots of things this season that aren't matters of "if", but "when" they are going to occur in a ballgame.

1) When will K-State pick off the whatshisname QB for Okla State? In the last two weeks against Heisman candidates the Cats didn't get an INT until the 2nd half. K-State has at least 1 INT in the last 5 games. I'd say with this guy's inexperience we'll get a pick much earlier. Probably the 13:00 minute mark of the 2nd quarter.

2) When will K-State score 50? The only game at home the Cats didn't score 50 was against N. Texas, and I have a feeling Bill was just being nice to his good friend Dan. Also, the Cats have scored 50 in 3 of the last 4 games. I'll go with 13:00 minute mark again, but this time in the 4th quarter.

3) When will Jon Hubert break 100 yards? This is probably my biggest "when" question of the week, as Hubert hasn't been over 100 yards for the last 3 games. However, he's due and Okla State will probably be geared up to stop Klein. I'll go with 4:30 left in the 3rd.

Feel free to add your own.

When will Arthur fake shoulder jump bump and duck under his celebration partner (tre ). I say the 3rd down stop on OSU's first possesion of the third.

when will I hit the "record" button the DVR and flip to one of the much closer relevant games because ours is a blowout? probably never, would kill me to miss a live Sams TD run/pass.

When will baby Lockett make his next kickoff return TD? I say 15:00...first quarter.

Is it just me, or do opposing quarterbacks throw a lot of picks when they are going towards the south end zone? Is this the sea of purple effect?

4)  When will we turn the ball over for the first time in several games? Maybe 3rd quarter. Just think we're due.

When will Cantele attempt his first fieldgoal of the game....looking to improve on his 91.7 fieldgoal percentage for the year, and hasn't missed since Miami?

I like _FAN threads like this.

1)  3rd Ok. State possession.  Late first quarter.
2) 5:37 left in 4th quarter
3) 5:37 left in 4th quarter

It's Murphy's Law applied to MadCat: "When an awesome play occurs, it is on the other end of the field from where MadCat is observing."

When will I start talking religion in chat?  Probably 3rd quarter.

Like my favorite question: why didn't Jesus kick ass at guitar/drums etc.?  He was all powerful but didn't show it off,, we kow that.  He could have simply been awesome at guitar and no one would have been able to say "hey, I never saw you practicing all the time it takes to be awesome!"  It is like one of those intrinsic things he could have made happen without it being some crazy lightning bolt throwing stuff of the Gods.

Shave a minute off all your predictions _Fan, we'll be rolling.

Also:

When will we see Ok St's backup?  This kid will get either knocked out of the game or play so horribly that they'll switch.  I say 10:00 left in the 3rd.

Shortest time between 2 K-State TD's this Saturday? I say under a minute. Score, intercept the Pokes on their 2nd play from scrimmage after that, then run it back for a pick 6 or score on the next play.

When will a young boy in the stands, or at home, be inspired by K-State's familial atmosphere and decide, for himself, that he'd like to attend Kansas State University someday?

Can't answer that, as it is a continuous event during our games.

Not until December at the earliest; will not be in attendance.  May pass out laying down on my couch.

4)  When will we turn the ball over for the first time in several games? Maybe 3rd quarter. Just think we're due.

Probably won't happen until the Baylor game.

When will a young boy in the stands, or at home, be inspired by K-State's familial atmosphere and decide, for himself, that he'd like to attend Kansas State University someday?

If at the game, as soon as he's in view of the field, walking to his seat, watching the team warm up.

If at home, the first time they show a crowd shot with the students Wabashing and Brent makes some comment like "Boy these folks here in Manhattan Kansas love their Wildcats, what a great sight here in the little apple"  "Its tremendous here Brent, I've known for years, since the first time we came here with college gameday back in 1998, that K-State fans are some of the most knowledgeable and passionate fans in all of college football.  There's 50,000 people in this place tonight Brent and it is as loud and raucous as ANY 100,000 seat stadium in the country.  These fans are like a great big extended family"

Noteworthy: One of my nieces who is like 15 and in a squawk family pulled me aside at a family gathering this fall and told me she plans to attend K-State.  She said she was looking for more of a tight knit family atmosphere in a college.  So blessed.

Is that when Snyder will meet him and they shake hands and visit with each other? I love that, and that is the correct answer. You can see it on the oppostion coach's face. He will be trying to act all cool, but his face will be saying, "This old man is going to scheme the piss out of me today."

When will Cody throw somebody on the ground after the Cats score a touchdown, and who will it be?
D Rob at the 8:31 mark of the 4th. Cody will meet him as D Rob runs over to the sideline and Cody will just throw him about 3 feet in the air and D Rob will crash on the ground and Mush will say something dreamy.

Why are confident people so pushy? You don't see any worriers trying to push their way of thinking on others.

I doubt that. Gundy is a cocky son of a bitch and will probably elect to receive if he wins the toss.
